1934 (Dec 13) commercial usage of 1½d brown Postal Card uprated for air transit with 9d Macarthur. [Writer states: "...new Air Mail thro from Australia. They have 12 days to do it in; ought to be less after the wonderful flying of the Air Speed Racers..."]
Swedish 1907 (Oct) commercial cover to Sweden with GB KEVII 2½d tied by light double-circle 'FALKLAND/ISLANDS' cds, fair strike of the rare underlined 'PAQUEBOT' h/s (Hosking #2676) alongside and at left an exceptional strike of the rare 'SWEDISH/MAGELLANIAN/ EXPEDITION/1907-1909' h/s in violet, printed PSNC & flag on the flap, 'UPSALA' arrival b/s. The only recorded Falklands cover from this Expedition. [Regarding the paquebot h/s, Hosking states "Pre-1940 dates merit a substantial premium". In fact, only one other example is recorded in the Edwardian period]
