Registration Envelopes - Official 1893 use to USA of 'Returned acknowledgment of Delivery' envelope with printed 'R No.' at upper-left but withour printed registration lines, 'REGISTERED/MR3/93/SYDNEY NSW' cds, minor blemishes. Very early & rare Australian Avis de Reception item. [Soapbox time: Items such as this highlight the mind-numbing stupidity of the FIP definition of "Postal Stationery". Just because it doesn't have a printed stamp the FIP doesn't accept it. Yet, it's an official post office envelope, performing a UPU function, for crying out loud!]
