1912 Republic Overprints Waterlow Printing 1c ochre with Retouched "One" (Chinese Character) Chan #170a, neat cds cancel, Cat $US550 (2000).
c.1937 large die proof of Dr Sun Yat-sen in black on wove paper (63x67mm), endorsed "2" in green & with Chinese "chop" in blue, minor tonespots. [Although this portrait was used for numerous stamp issues, this proof is more likely related to banknote production. A similar but very fine proof sold for $368 in our auction of 25/6/2005]
1949 Trade Union Conference $100 to $500 imperforate plate proofs in issued colours on ungummed wove paper. (3)
1950 Postal Conference $800 green & carmine as Yang #C48 but Perf 12½ reprint, horizontal pair with Carmine Printing Omitted.
1952 Peace Conference $2500 imperforate plate proof in the issued colour affixed & tied to paper by approval "chop" in blue & Postal Ministry "chop" in rosine, a couple of small photo corners affixed at lower-right.

1900 (Sep 26) missionary's cover to United States with China 2c block of 5 tied to reverse by very fine "pa kua" cancels, 'SHANGHAI/LOCAL POST' cds on the face & French Post Offices 'Chine' 25c tied by 'SHAG-HAI/CHINE' cds, a little reduced at left.
1901 internal OHMS cover to Shanghai with 'C.E.F.' 1a tied by scarce 'FPO No11/1SE/01' cds used at Sinho, '.../British Contingent/China Field Force' imprint at lower-left, 'BASE OFFICE/B/1SE/01' (Tientsin) transit & 'FPO No5/5SE/01' arrival b/s, minor opening tears at left "renovated" with adhesive tape.
