This and the next five lots comprise an attractive collection on leaves partly annotated in Russian! Mostly fine used though the condition is a bit mixed especially in the "Classics", as one should expect. There are some errors of identification but they cut a bit both ways. New South Wales with Sydney Views 1d No Clouds (apparently very fine) & Clouds (marvellous appearance but repaired), 2d (2, one with 4 margins) & 3d (4 margins), Laureates to 3d (3) including a lovely Imperf 1d, Imperf Diadems to 1/- (huge margins) but the 1/- has been faked, 'REGISTERED' imperf & perf (3), Long Type 10/-, 20/- Carrington, a few 'OS' Overprints and Postage Dues etc. (Qty 140 approx)

Handy selection on Hagners from all Colonies with NSW Imperf 5d (large margins with part of the adjoining unit at left but it's dated 1865 so is unlikely to be "dinkum"); Queensland Small Chalons (12) including Perf 14-16 6d; South Australia Rouletted to 10d on 9d plus mint Thick 'POSTAGE' to 2/6d; Tasmania Chalons; Victoria Woodblocks Imperf 6d (6, including two pairs, all with full margins), postally used Stamp Duty to £2, mint group including Laureate ½d on 1d, Bell 1/- blue/blue, 1/6d orange, Crown/A 3d blocks of 4 x5 & 4d block of 4; Western Australia Swans; etc, condition a bit variable but generally fine. 1850-1912 well presented chiefly used collection with Sydney Views 2d Plate IV, then Laureates including an apparently unused 4 margin 2d Plate II, Diadems including Imperf 3d, 1861-97 5/- Coin (5). Later material is of specialist interest with good range of perfs, a few flaws, some State Official perfins, opt 'OS' issues, 1902 ½d Monogram pair etc. Will repay careful viewing. (Qty 100s)

1851-55 Laureates Blue Paper 1d brick-red SG 48, margins close to large with traces of the adjoining unit at the base, a few tiny black specks that in no way detract from the very fine appearance, unused, Cat £1000.
