1870-71 Fiji Times Express Quadrill© Paper 1/- SG 4 cut-close (RPSofL Certificate #64399; now lost); Batonn© Paper 6d SG 7 (2, one of fine appearance) and 1/- SG 9; all with manuscript cancels, faults, Cat £6800.
1870-71 Fiji Times Express Quadrill© Paper 3d Comma after 'EXPRESS,' SG 2a, trimmed at top & a little soiled, superb part-strike of the rare 'BUA' "Star", Cat £4500. A very presentable example of this rarity.
1870-71 Fiji Times Express Quadrill© Paper 1/- SG 4, large margins, under-inked part-strike of the rare 'BUA' "Star" with the '...UA' discernible, Cat £1800. Unusually fine for this issue.
1874 'V.R.' Overprints Gothic Letters 'Six/Cents' on 3d SG 17, excellent colour, some characteristic rough perfs, shallow thin that in no way detracts from the very fine appearance, unused, Cat £1500. Rare. Sismondo (2004) & RPSofV (2005) Certificates.
1876-77 'VR' Underprints Wove Paper 1d grey-blue Doubly Printed SG 28ab, the pale first impression 2mm to the left & ½mm below the second impression, large-part o.g., Cat £550. A very fine example of this dramatic variety. Ex Don Welsh.

1878-99 VR (Altered 'CR' Dies) Perf 11¾x10 2d yellow-green SG 51b, a few characteristic short perfs, light Suva cds of DE10/1886, Cat £500. RPSofV Certificate (2003). [Colonel Evans' two examples sold for $797 and $825 respectively at our auction of 21/7/2001]
Revenues: 'VR' Underprint 6d strip of 4 with light 'REGISTRAR-GENERAL' cachets; KEVII £1 stone & ultramarine with similar cancel (fine "spacefiller"; Cat £400 postally used); & KGV 5/- pair optd 'R' with oval cancel. (Qty 7)

Wide-ranging group of unpaid or underpaid mail including 1906 PPC with mss "T2d", 1909 local cover with boxed 'T ("2d"')' h/s, KGV covers to United States (4, three with Postage Dues affixed) & Sweden, KGVI covers to United States (with Postage Dues), Australia, England (2, one an apparently commercial airmail cover with st-line 'NATOVI' cancel on 1/6d Arms; the other with mss "Lodoni" cancels & 'KOROVOU' registration h/s), New Zealand (with Postage Due) & an internal cover etc, condition variable. Machine cancellations annotated collection mostly from Suva including continuous types with 1910 cover to Germany & 1911 PPC, then an array of slogan cancels including 'PAID' types on piece or cover, plus a few from Ba, Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi & Nadi Airport. (Qty 80 items)
Extensive annotated collection of meter marks with many on cover & many with advertising slogans. Noted 1930 proof strikes of M1 (5) & N1 (3) machines, 1930s usages for Morris Hedstrom (4) & Michelmore Chemist, then an array of later types including a few from Lami, Lautoka, Nadi & Sigatoka.
