C of A - Decimal Issues
Three filing boxes of unaddressed First Day Covers including AAT issues, "Pre-Stamped Envelopes" with FDI cancels, and a few post office packs. Good source of "very fine used" stamps. (Qty 100s)
1992 Threatened Species 45c Printset Cambec Roll Stamps imperforate pair plus blocks of 6 & 12 (unused ?) in very mixed condition; plus 1962 hand-drawn & coloured FDC for the 1/2d Tasmanian Tiger. (Qty 4 items)
C of A - First Day Covers
Album with a pre-decimal collection of little moment but includes some scarcer private types & a few unaddressed. (Qty 150 approx)
1913 Kangaroo Fred Hagen plain cover with 1d red Die I tied by a large-part strike of the unusual machine cancel common to all Hagen's First Day Covers but unfortunately with the day '2' missing to right of the time '5 50PM'. However, the 'NORTH MELBOURNE/VIC' cds is fortuitously on the face and clearly dated '915A 3JA13' which provides proof that the cover must have been serviced in Sydney - 1000km away - on the previous day. Possibly the finest of the surviving covers, most of the others having significant tonespots. [The ACSC states "at least 11" FDCs are recorded, of which three are in instututional collections, and prices FDCs at $12,500 each. This example, while 100% genuine, is however offered at a far more modest estimate because the Sydney date is incomplete]
1912 Surcharge 'ONE PENNY' on 2d with Watermark Upright SG 172a (BW #W67aa) marginal block of 4 from base of the sheet, complete & large-part strikes of 'FREMANTLE/6NO12/WESTN AUSTRALIA' cds being the First Day of Issue. ACSC records no First Day Covers, and it is unlikely that any exist.
BRITISH LEVANT - Overprints on Great Britain
1906 Beirut Surcharge '1 Piastre' on GB KEVII 2d SG 15 tied to part-cover to Egypt by superb oval 'REGISTERED/2JY06/BEYROUT' d/s - the First Day of Issue - superb 'ALEXANDRIE' arrival b/s, lightly signed in pencil by Diena below the stamp, Cat £600 x3+ on cover. A rare first day "cover".
1950s-80s First Day Covers in two albums mostly addressed to Western Australia, including 1971 Satellite block, Paintings & ASEAN, plus other useful early 1970s issues. Some toning evident, so inspection advised. (Qty approx 100)
Jamaica: 1935 cover to Hong Kong via New York (b/s) addressed in English & Chinese with Silver Jubilee 1d pair & 1½d tied to the reverse by 'RACE COURSE/MY6/35/JAMAICA' cds being the First Day of Issue, minor blemishes. An exceptional commercial First Day Cover.

Money Burner: "The Official Collection of World Wildlife First Day Covers" in humungous album. At least the funds went to the WWF. What do you mean "I don't think so!" That's outrageous. I hope you're not impugning the integrity of the Franklin Mint? Good: I didn't think you would be so mean-spirited.
