PAPUA NEW GUINEA - Issued Stamps
POSTAL HISTORY: 1960 commercial usage to Port Moresby (b/s) of the 1957 1/7d Registration Envelope uprated to 2/5d with 5d on ½d x2 tied by 'LAE' cds. Much scarcer than the 1/0½d issue.
POSTAL HISTORY: 1916 stampless OHMS cover to "Falelaunui" with fine scalloped-oval 'BRITISH MILITARY ADMINISTRATION/CHINESE DEPT/AUG 19 1916/SAMOA' d/s & very fine Censor #2 h/s both in violet. Superb!
Denmark: Extensive collection of Copenhagen postmarks in seven binders with good ranges from all periods & a quantity of covers throughout, includes numbered types, sub-offices, commemorative types, slogans etc. Estimate slashed to get rid of it, which is crazy, because it's a pretty handy lot. (Qty Qty)
SOUTH AFRICA - (Provinces)
CAPE OF GOOD HOPE: 1880 cover to Bombay "via England" (perverse!) with 1d x2, 'THREEPENCE' on 4d rose & 6d tied by Barred Numeral '2' cancels, faint London & very fine Indian 'SEA/POST OFFICE/ C ' transit b/s.
SOUTH WEST AFRICA
1916 commercial re-usage to Windhoek of a "turned" envelope remarkably with Nyasaland KEVII ½dx2 tied by good strike of the scarce 'ARANDIS/27/NOV/1916/RAIL' rubber cds in blue, B/100 Censor h/s in violet & oval ' -WINDHOEK' arrival d/s on the face. Most unusual & irregular usage.
1918 commercial usage to "Windhuk" of South African 1d Envelope with superb strike of the very scarce 'KLEIN WINDHUK/12/MAR/1918/*' rubber cds, oval ' -WINDHOEK' arrival b/s, minor corner stain.
Amazing accumulation of Swiss Soldiers Stamps including sheetlets, mostly on covers including many proper usages and with apparently only minor duplication. Some have been mounted and annotated but it's mostly an unholy mess that is crying out for lots of tender loving care. By far the largest array of this attractive material we have ever offered. The estimate should prove to be very conservative. (Qty 800+ covers)

Large carton with a collection of mostly philatelic covers in albums plus a quantity of loose material with an array of commercial mail including with Seated & Standing Helvetias, an excellent range of WWI military mail, official covers, registered, airmail, postage due etc. Heavy. (Qty 100s)
Outrageous accumulation of mostly stampless military covers from WWI, WWII and between the wars with an extraordinary array of military cachets. The later material includes many covers with Definitive adhesives some overprinted 'Official' some of which have Express labels etc. The quality generally seems to be very fine. This is obviously a very extensive and probably comprehensive collection but it will take hours to even put it into order. Our guess is that there are over 1000 covers so this must represent an excellent opportunity for a new interest or to give a huge boost to an existing collection. (Qty 1000+)
