LITERATURE - Auction Catalogues
Feldman, David: General catalogues but including the three parts of Rodney Perry's magnificent collection of Victoria (1987-1988), cover faults. (Qty 3)
LITERATURE - Country Headings
Australian Colonies - Victoria: "The Half-Length Portraits & the Twopence Queen Enthroned" by Charles Lathrop Pack (1923), and "Emblems" by Purves (1957) both hard-bound with toning & water damage evident throughout; also "The V Over Crown Watermarks" (1964) monograph by Purves in better condition. The Pack in fine condition should sell for $250+. (Qty 3)
Australian Colonies - Victoria: "The Cancellations of Melbourne 1861-1912" by Davies & Linfield (1980), softbound, minor blemishes on the cover. A major study.
DOCUMENTS & EPHEMERA
Australia - Victoria: Hand-tinted page from one of the London illustrated newspapers "The prize Design for a New Post Office to be Erected in Melbourne Australia" (with six towers!) in lightweight temporary frame (475x370mm). Gorgeous! Have it framed for a philatelic friend (or yourself) for Christmas.

C of A - Postal History
1933 Melbourne College of Divinity cover with printed 'CONFIDENTIAL: EXAMINATION QUESTIONS' registered at Carlton to Red Cliffs with two strikes of the rare triple-oval 'MONEY ORDER OFFICE/ 10MAR1933/RED CLIFFS' arrival b/s (the only recorded examples) one tying 'This envelope should be opened in the presence of...' label, a few faults. A remarkable item.
C of A - Commemorative Covers
1937 AIF Golf Day The Mail PPC of the FPO van and a KGV 1½d Postal Card - a rare usage of the Very Thin Stock - with a similar but more interesting photo showing operations of the PO affixed to the reverse (which technically should have attracted postage due), both with the FPO No 1 cds. (Qty 2)
C of A - Military - World War I
WORLD WAR I: 1917 OAS YMCA cover from the Western Front to "Lighthouse/Wilsons Promontory"!!!!!!!!
WORLD WAR II: 1944 usage of 6d POW Airmail Postcard to Germany with 'NO 13 POW GROUP MURCHISON' h/s on the reverse amended by hand to No 16 & 'MURCHISON' crossed-out and endorsed "MARRINUP" (WA) where posted on 14.9.44 with the characteristic 'SERVICE OF/PRISONERTS/OF WAR' h/s used at Marrinup. However, processed through Melbourne (machine cancel) on 30.9.44, Australian & German censor cachets. A most unusual item, requiring research.
