WORLD WAR II: 1944 usage of 6d POW Airmail Postcard to Germany with 'NO 13 POW GROUP MURCHISON' h/s on the reverse amended by hand to No 16 & 'MURCHISON' crossed-out and endorsed "MARRINUP" (WA) where posted on 14.9.44 with the characteristic 'SERVICE OF/PRISONERTS/OF WAR' h/s used at Marrinup. However, processed through Melbourne (machine cancel) on 30.9.44, Australian & German censor cachets. A most unusual item, requiring research.

We noted 1854 4d unused & used (3) and 1/- used (2), 1861 Imperf 2d vermilion unused marginal pair & 6d used, Middle Period issues to 1/- with some varieties noted, lots of 3d browns, Surcharges mint & used plus some mint blocks, 1885-93 2d grey mint block of 24 with perf separation & reinforcing, and a smattering of CofA period issues. The condition is quite mixed but there are bound to be lots of little nuggets here. (Qty 350+)
