Stamp Duty array on Hagners including QV 1865 4d (2), 6d, 8d (2) & 1/-, 1868-1901 Bicolours including 5/- (3, one optd 'POSTAGE'), 8/-, 10/- (3), 15/- & £1 (3), KEVII Bicolours including 10/- (2) & £1, 1929-66 Numerals to £10 (4, including pair on piece with £5 & £1) plus an imperforate 3d pair, Decimals range unused to $10. Mixed condition. (Qty 200+)
Perfins: 1868-1929 QV (2) and KEVII (9) Stamp Duty Long Types and 1929-66 Numerals (23) all with private perfins including 'YI' perfin of The Yorkshire Insurance Co Ltd on a £50 Numeral. Condition variable. Scarce perfined group. (Qty 34)
QUEENSLAND - Revenues
Beer Duty: 1885 Chalon 4/6d black ('VALLEY F...' papermaker's watermark), 6/9d blue (Wmk Crown/Q Sideways) & 12/9d dull brown-red (No Watermark), obvious faults but at least they have survived! Rarities. [A 2/3d value was also issued] (Qty 3)
Stamp Duty: 1866-68 Large Chalons No Watermark 1d 6d 2/6d & the rare 6/- yellow-brown (sound but trimmed perfs at base); Medium Chalons 1d (2), 6d (2), 1/- 2/- 5/- & 10/-; Small Chalons 1d (3) to 20/-, the last with 'REGISTERED/CHARTERS TOWERS' postal cds which is probably a fake; condition variable. Stamp Duty: 1866-68 Large Chalons No Watermark 1d (small thin) to 20/- (minor tear) missing only the 2/- & including a very fine example of the rare 6/- yellow-brown, generally fine to very fine with the 10/- being an enormous example. (Qty 8)
1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' "The Postage & Revenue Long Stamps of South Australia" by Ed Williams (2003). As new, except for minor indents on the front cover caused by some nong who thinks books are good backing for writing letters!
REVENUES: 1962 Conveyance of Land with embossed '[lion]/TASMANIA/STAMP DUTY/ £2/10 /TWO POUNDS/TEN SHILLINGS' in red.

1863-80 St George & the Dragon Perf 12 5/- sepia SG F14, unused, Cat £225.
1863-80 St George & the Dragon Perf 12 10/- salmon SG F17, Watermark Inverted, large-part o.g., Cat £100+.
1863-80 St George & the Dragon Perf 12 5/- sage-green, Perf 11½ 2/6d (possibly unused), 5/- & 10/- SG F23-25, pen-cancels neatly cleaned-off, Cat £380 as unused (Barefoot Cat £55). (Qty 4)
1863-80 St George & the Dragon post-1891 reprints comprising Imperf 5/- sepia & 10/- orange on thin ungummed card; and Perforated 3d, 2/6d, 5/- sepia & 10/- orange all with 'REPRINT' Overprint on thick gummed paper, all but the 2/6d unmounted. (Qty 6)
1888 Wmk 'TAS' 2/6d carmine-lake horizontal strip of 3 imperforate vertically, large-part o.g. Unrecorded by Gibbons who do list "Imperf between (horiz pair)" SG F30a (Cat £850). Ceremuga Certificate (2006) states "Extremely rare".
1900 'REVENUE' Overprint Platypus 1d blue horizontal strip of 3 from right of the sheet imperforate vertically except at left, large-part o.g. with some characteristic gum-cracking, Cat £350 (for a pair only). Rare.
TASMANIA - Postal History
1869 long cover (265x115mm) with printed address of the Eastern Extension Australasia & China Telegraph Co in London with extraordinary & undeniably commercial franking of Postal Fiscals Platypus 6d mauve x6 & 1/- pink tied by very fine BN '37' of 'GEORGE TOWN' (cds alongside), opened a little roughly at top but not affecting the stamps, vertical fold at the extreme left.
