1869 small mourning cover locally used with rare franking of De La Rue 2d Perf 11½xRoul SG 165 (Cat £100 x5+ on cover) & GPO cds of AU24/69, minor blemishes. With the contents. [Used in the first month of issue]
1859 pair of small mourning covers to Benalla 1) with irregular usage of boxed 'PAID AT/WILLIAMS TOWN' h/s with 'PAID AT' scored-through & mss "8/1/9" added; & 2) with 'WILLIAMS TOWN/ [crown]/JA28/1859/VICTORIA' d/s, minor blemishes. [A very unusual "relief" usage in the period when the d/s was in Melbourne to have the new year inserted]

RECEIVED OPEN: boxed 'RECEIVED OPEN' (33x5½) struck on a piece of stamp-selvedge applied as a resealing label at the GPO, on 1872 mourning cover with DLR 2d tied by fine BN '173' of Daylesford (b/s), minor blemishes.

RECEIVED OPEN: 'RECEIVED OPEN/AT/GENERAL POST OFFICE/VICTORIA'-in-oval (31½x19mm) struck on a piece of stamp-selvedge applied as a resealing label, on 1886 mourning cover to Queensland with Naish 2d x2 tied by Melbourne duplex, minor blemishes. [Stated to be the only recorded example of this larger size oval]
RECEIVED TORN: rounded-boxed 'RECEIVED TORN/AT G.P.O.' (34x10mm) superb strike on a piece of pink stamp-selvedge applied as a resealing label to a battered 1877 mourning cover from Wales with 6d grey tied by very fine 'LLANRWST - 597' duplex.
1867 homemade mourning cover to England "via Marseilles" with 2d yellow pair & 6d violet tied by Perth duplex, London transit cds in red on the face & 'BRIGHTON' arrival b/s, repaired flap. Very colourful.
