Barlee Brook: 'BA[R]LEE BROOK/24MY28/W.A' partly indistinct but undoubted strike on KGV 1½d red pair. PO 1/7/1927; closed 30/4/1930: PMI states opened as a Receiving Office but on 1/7/1927 all ROs were re-classified as Post Offices. [Timber mill. PMI states "No marking known"]
Barrabupp: 'BARRABUPP/5OC15/WESTN AUSTRALIA' very fine striike on KGV 1d red. From St John's Mill 1/12/1909; renamed Barabup -/11/1915. [Timber mill]
Barrabupp: recut ' BARABUP /12OC20/WESTN AUSTRALIA' very fine striike on Kangaroo 2d, partly cut-to-shape. From Barrabupp -/11/1915; renamed Barrabup 1/12/1923; closed 29/11/1924. [This is an extraordinary recut in which the entire town name was recut to remove two letters, resulting in uncharacteristic gaps at each end of the name.
Boorabbin: 24½mm (no arcs) 'BOORABBIN/FE13/99/W.A' (ERD: recorded in 1899 only) in blue on 2d grey with another strike alongside. PO 24/9/1894; closed 22/3/1922. [Railway construction camp]

Lanark: 'LANARK/25AP29/WESTERN AUSTRALIA' (LRD by 9 months) largely very fine strike on KGV 1d green pair. Group Settlement 19. Receiving Office 1/7/1922; PO 1/7/1927; TO 15/7/1929; closed 1/6/1931. [An A2 strike sold for $310 at our auction of 7/2/2009]

1759-1835 group of convict-related letters on exhibit pages including 1759 entire with very fine Bishop Mark from a prisoner awaiting trial (he was sent to the American Colonies); 1799 entire letter (carried per favor) from Richard Coleman at Newgate Prison (he was sent to Botany Bay in 1800); 1802 entire letter from the Earl of Worcester & signed "Worcester" on the face advising a petition on behalf of a felon has been rejected; 1829 part-entire headed "Justitia Hulk/Woolwich" (most of the letter missing); 1831 entire from the Keeper of Monmouth Gaol claiming expenses re Edmund Marsden (sent to NSW for life); 1833 entire from Edward Hardy at Newgate Prison (he served 14 years in convict hulks at Bermuda); 1834 letter re death of Surgeon John Isatt aboard the "Susan" bound for NSW; etc, condition a bit mixed but generally fine and attractive.
