1856-58 Adelaide Printings 2d blood-red SG 8, an unusually large example with margins good to very large, light '61' cancel of Gambierton, Cat £60+. Superb! [This is a very unusual stamp. The impression is quite blotchy, possibly a Dry Ink variety. However, the resulting white "halo" behind the head is suggestive of a major Double Print]
1868-79 Large Star 2/- carmine Printed on Both Sides SG 67a, straight-edge at left, GPO cds of MR30/76, undercatalogued at £425. [The first printing was barely inked, but the impression - inverted in relation to the subsequent printing on the "face" - is quite obvious]
1902-04 Thin 'POSTAGE' 1/- brown with Value in Red-brown BW #S30a, weak corner perf at upper-right, 'PT DARWIN/SA' squared-circle, Cat $2000 (£900). Rare usage in the Northern Territory. [The ACSC states "Postally used is scarcer than mint"]
