CACHETS: hooded-rectangle ' 5 /PRECENSORED/AND PASSED/BY THE/BRITISH CENSOR' M#H9 (with initials & "8/12" = Aug 12th) in violet on the reverse of stampless merchant's cover to their head office in British Guiana (apparently carried per favor), minor blemishes. Rated 10. A major rarity: Miller states "at least two copies are known". [In June 1944, handstamps of this distinctive type were issued to the 15 British censor stations in the West Indies. Of most, no examples are recorded]
