BARRED NUMERALS: '107' of Dundee light but very fine strike on Plate II 1d gooseberry red SG 10 (margins close to good, minor corner crease at upper-right, Cat £500). Rated RRRR. [The post office opened on 1/1/1852, by which time the Sydney Views had been generally replaced by the Laureates. Rather similar to Hugh Freeman's example that sold for $719 in our auction of 23/8/2011]

BARRED NUMERALS: 1850s-1860s covers comprising '31' of Colac on Perf 12 4d Emblems (large White Scratch), '37' (rated RR) with fine 'ELEPHANT BRIDGE' b/s, '70' with rare postmaster's endorsement "Queenscliff/Decr 18 1856" on the flap (affected by opening tear), '84' (RR) of Winchelsea, very fine '163' (RR) of Cressy, and '264' of Landsborough (poor condition), good to very fine strikes, condition variable. BARRED NUMERALS: First Type '289' of Hotham superb strike on Emblems Rouletted 2d SG 69. Rated RRR.
