1939 National Day undenominated proof in carmine pink on poor quality paper (57x38mm). Ex Len Colgan.
1939 National Day 2 satang chocolate marginal block of 4 from the base of the sheet comprising two horizontal pairs Imperforate Between F&O #268d (H #295a), unmounted, Cat 10,000++ baht (= $A333++) for two mounted pairs. Superb! Ex Len Colgan.
1943-48 Failure of Revolt (Monument & Ears of Rice) undenominated proof sheetlet of 4 in carmine on poor quality paper (75x93mm), 2stg Printed on Both Sides H #331d, and 2stg marginal block of 4 from the base of the sheet comprising two horizontal pairs Imperforate Between H #332a, Cat 7300 baht (= $A243) plus the proof block. Ex Len Colgan. (Qty 3 items)
REVENUES: 1890s-1960s array with 950 revenues on 62 documents including 1899 Court Fee bi-colours and in green including surcharges, Elephant types plus lots of wartime issues. Later documents feature Charity, Military and provisional usage. Many of the documents have multiple frankings, others with annotated varieties or rare types, condition variable. (Qty 62 items)
REVENUES: c.WWII foreign resident's identity book with photo on the inside cover & thumb print in lieu of signature, 1942 Public Welfare 1 baht HRB #FD2007 x3 plus Alien Registration 20 baht on 4 baht & 200 baht on 20 baht on 4 baht x2 HRB #FR1011 & 1012 within, vertical fold but in remarkably good condition for a document that the bearer had to carry at all times. Rare. Ex Len Colgan.

1885 '4 Atts.' on 1½a Postal Card with message in French dated "Bangkok 4 Aout 1885", to military "Camp de Chalons" in France with superb 'BANGKOK/ P /PAID/7 8/85' cds, 'SINGAPORE' transit b/s, French octagonal 'POSS.ANGL/13/AOUT/85/PAQ.FR.N No10' mailboat d/s & 'MODANE A PARIS' TPO transit cds both in red on the face, 'MOURMELON-LE-GRAND/MARNE' arrival backstamp, some very minor soiling. Ex Terence Pickering (Spink Singapore 2006).
1886 cover to Germany with boxed bilingual '.../TELEGRAPH BANGKOK' cachet in bluish ink on the reverse, 1sik yellow horizontal pair - another stamp sadly excised - tied by 'BANGKOK/ P /PAID/16 7/86' cds, 'BRINDISI/(A)' transit & 'GALLINGEN' arrival b/s, overall aging. Despite the faults, this is an interesting and desirable cover. Ex Len Colgan (not included in our auction of 24/6/2011). [A previous owner speculated that the cachet would have included a central Garuda bird. However, our view is that it was left blank to accommodate a wax seal, as is the case here]
1886 part cover-front to "Isaac T Smith/Consul General for Siam/Union League Club/New York" with 1sio vermilion & 1att rosine - both with faults - tied by 'BANGKOK/ P /PAID/6 12/86' cds. 1894 (Jan 10) local cover with Siamese address in red and rare albeit philatelic franking of First Issue 1 sik yellow & 1889 1 att on 1 sio vermilion Type 2 Sub-Type B tied by 'BANGKOK/ P /PAID/10 1/94' cds, Siamese-language Krungthep (Bangkok 1) arrival backstamp, a couple of minor blemishes. 1900 cover to Chicago "Via Bangkok" with remarkable franking on the reverse of 1898-99 Antique '3 Atts.' on 12atts Setting A x7 - one with Roman Second 't' - & 1899 Third Issue 3atts pair & block of 6 all tied by 'SINGORA/26.8.-1' cds (date error), another stamp sadly removed from the face, boxed 'R' h/s, London transit d/s on the face & 'REGISTERED/CHICAGO ILL' arrival b/s in violet, minor blemishes. 1906 (Oct) "red band" greetings cover to Singapore with Wat Jang 2stg & 8stg only tied to the reverse by 'SINGAPORE/OC31/1906' arrival cds, 'T'-in-triangle backstamp & mss "2" on the face. Ex Len Colgan.
1933 1934 & 1936 local philatelic covers with Constitution Day "Two Bowls" cachet - struck on the stamps in 1933 & 1934 but to the side in 1936 - and Siamese-language commemorative datestamps, the last with vertical fold. Ex Walter Pears (with part of his album page) & Len Colgan. (Qty 3)
