GREAT BRITAIN: c.1892 (?) stampless envelope addressed in the hand of the then Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) to "The/Right Honourable WE Gladstone/etc etc MP/10 Downing Street", initialled "AE" (= Albert Edward) at lower-left & with embossed '[crown]/ AE /HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE' on the flap, the cover opened-out for display. [The cover is undated and as William Ewart Gladstone was Prime Minister on four separate occasions - 1868-1874, 1880-1885, briefly in 1886, and 1892-1894 - it is difficult to ascribe a date.]
