1938-49 Robes Thick Paper 10/- purple overprinted 'SPECIMEN' block of 4, well centred, unmounted, Cat $500. A very scarce multiple.
1941 Surcharges '2½d' on 2d red with Medallion Flaw BW #222d, cds leaves the variety unobscured.

Useful bundle of covers and postal stationery including 1936 Adelaide Exhibition cover unstamped & taxed with Postage Due 2d added, 1938 GC Newton FDC for ½d & 1/4d registered to South Africa, KGV 5d Oval Registration Envelope unused, QEII 5d blue Letter Card optd 'SPECIMEN' in Red and Small Die 4d maroon Envelope with Offset on the Reverse used (3), etc, condition rather mixed but those mentioned are fine to very fine.(Qty 22 items)
1932 cover with superb embossed crest of the Western Australian Government Railways in red on the flap, to Darwin with scarce franking of 3d Airmail Type B perf 'OS' (Cat $500 on cover) + KGV 2d optd 'OS' tied by Perth cds, Brisbane transit & 'DARWIN NT/AUSTRALIA' arrival b/s. [There was no all the way air route from Perth to the NT, so the cover was sent east via Adelaide, Sydney (?) & Brisbane to connect with the Qantas feeder service to Darwin. The rate was 2d postage + 3d internal air supplement, regardless of the distance travelled]

Ex Brian Magee. [This is the only collection of its type we have ever seen, and much of the material is new to us. The emphasis is on the users, rather than the revenues themselves. Many larger firms are represented by numerous types. Many small operations are also included.
