1922 commercial cover to a New Zealand Member of Parliament with KGV 2d grey tied by a very fine strike of the scarce straight-line 'BAULAILAI' cancel in violet & manuscript "8 11 22" and fair transit cds of 11/NOV/1922, Suva transit b/s, on arrival at Wellington redirected to "Greymouth" with 'LETTER CARRIERS/NZ/12DE22/WELLINGTON' cds, roughly opened with upper-left portion of the face missing which doesn't unduly detract from the otherwise very fine appearance. A rare & desirable straight-line usage in a coloured ink.
