A very attractive collection of mint & used complete Definitive sets from all States, Straits, BMA Overprints & Singapore with strength in the 1930s to 1950s issues, a few condition issues noted but most appear to be fine to superb, STC £10,000+.

Collection of Plate Number blocks of 4 from Straits, States, Singapore & Japanese Occupation, some pre-1901 issues but strength is in the 1950s Definitive sets to $1 with many 35c & 40c values, some problems mainly in the earlier material but generally fine to very fine, many are unmounted.

Perak 1895 Elephants $1 to $25 and Federated Malay States Elephants $1 $2 x2 & $5 single & vertical pair, oval fiscal datestamps. Nice lot.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1867 Overprints on India 1½c on ½a to 32c on 2a SG 1-9, a few minor imperfections but generally fine to very fine, Cat £1500.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1880 '10' Surcharges on 30c claret SG 33 with Defective '1' (used, minor crease), 34 (unused), 35 (used, minor imperfections) & 36 (fine used), Cat £625.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1882 New Values Crown/CC 10c slate SG 49 block of 4, light strike of a large oval firm's "chop" in red & light undated Singapore cancel, Cat £320+. A very scarce multiple.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1906-07 Overprints on Labuan 3c black & sepia with Feather on 'B' of 'LABUAN' SG 143a, 'LABUAN' cds onscures the variety, Cat £600 mint; unpriced used. David Brandon Certificate (2011) as SG 43a (error) states "small thin spots".
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1917 'RED CROSS' Overprints '2c.' on 4c purple with Missing Stop after '2c ' SG 217a, small-part 'KANDANG KERBAU' cds, Cat £950. BPA Certificate (2002).
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1937-41 KGVI 1c to $5 including the Die II values SG 278-298 plus Die II 5c brown SG 297 upper-left corner block of 10 (5x2) with Plate Number '1', a bit tropicalised & thinned in the margin, Cat £950; also 'MALAYA PATRIOTIC FUND' Large '1c' unused single & Small '1c' unmounted block of 4.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1937-41 KGVI Die II 2c green SG 293 block of 9 with Plate Number '1', a little tropicalised, Cat £495; and 3c green SG 295 block of 8 (4x2) with Plate Number '3', toned, Cat £104+; most units are unmounted.

STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: POSTAL HISTORY: 1850 unpaid entire headed "Manila August 12 1850" & signed "RWHood", to London "via Marseilles" with light but fine strike of the boxed 'SINGAPORE/18 October/Bearing ___' d/s (Proud #PS7) on the reverse, London arrival b/s in red, two vertical filing folds. [Two months from Manila to Singapore suggests that sailings from the Spanish Colony were infrequent, and that the sender may have just missed a mail]
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1878 cover with '.../DELI/(SUMATRA)' cachet in blue across the flap, to Spain (!) "via Brindisi" with 12c tied by poor 'B/172', part 'PENANG/PAID' cds in red & superb 'GIBRALTAR' transit cds on the face, minor opening faults at right. Ex David Springbett. Carried per "Gwalior" to Galle, "Cathay" to Alexandria, & "Ceylon" to Brindisi. A remarkable origin/destination cover.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1898 usage of United States 1c Postal Card uprated with 1c blue, from New York to an American missionary at "Singapore/Malaysia" (!!) with largely superb 'PENANG TO SINGAPORE' mail sorter cds. A scarce origin in this period. [This is by far the earliest use we have seen of the term "Malaysia"]
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1912 commercial usage of KEVII 1c Postal Card with 'SINGAPORE/RAFFLES HOTEL' cds, 'IPOH' transit & a partly fine oval 'POST OFFICE/TANJONG RAMBUTAN' arrival datestamp in violet.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1912 commercial usage of KEVII 3c Postal Card to France with the message headed "Labuan" & largely very fine double-circle 'LABUAN/ D /14AU/1912/LABUAN' cancellation, Singapore transit & 'DEVILLE LES ROUEN' arrival cds. [In 1906, Labuan was absorbed into the Straits Settlements and thereafter used Straits stamps and Postal Stationery]
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1922 KP Hock PPC with full non-philatelic message to California with rare franking of 'MALAYA/BORNEO/EXHIBITION' 2c green SG 241 (Cat £90 x15+ on cover) & KGV 4c scarlet both with very obvious 'AC' perfins of A Clouet & Co. A very rare usage.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1922 possibly commercial cover to Switzerland "Per SS Vondel" (?) with 2c 5c & 45c tied by 27mm 'GENERAL POST OFFICE/20OC/1922/SINGAPORE' cds (Proud #D180), largely very fine strike of the double-boxed 'LATE FEE PAID' handstamp (#I 8), minor blemishes.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1924 fantastic real photo PPC of a lively crowded scene on the Singapore River, to GB with 4c red tied by a largely very fine strike of the 'SINGAPORE/16FEB/1924 - [lion]/BRITISH/EMPIRE/EXHIBITION/1924' duplex, minor soiling on the address side.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: 1928 cover to a missionary at "Edinburgh Settlement/Tristan da Cunha Island/South Africa" with 2c green & 4c purple tied by 'MALACCA' cds, very minor opening tears. A wonderful destination! Ex Dr Gene Scott.
