COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA
Mostly used accumulation with Roos including 2½d punctured Large 'OS', Third Wmk 1/- block of 4 plus annotated 1d & 6d brown varieties, a bag of KGV Heads on piece, Kookaburra M/S with Exhibition cds in blue, Robes, QEII 5c booklet pane, 2001 Year Book, a packet of commercial perfins, a bundle of unused Aerogrammes, "Federal Australian Philatelist" Vol I No 2 (1890), "Australian Stamp Monthly" Vol I No 9 (1930), etc.
C of A - Military - World War I
POWs in GERMANY:1915-16 issues of "In Ruhleben Camp" Nos 1-10 (1915) plus "The Ruhleben Bye-Election" (propaganda for candidate Israel Cohen); "The Ruhleben Camp Magazine" Nos 1-6 (1916-17); and larger format "Prisoners' Pie/ Ruhleben/New Year 1916"; some separation of the covers etc but generally in sound to fine condition. Lots of humorous content, illustrations etc providing excellent insights into camp life. (18 titles); also WWII Mickey Mouse souvenirs x2 & Marching Koalas Christmas Card.

VICTORIA - Postmarks
The 1851 Victorian Post Office Report including the appendix page with very fine to superb strikes of the seven postal markings then in use at the GPO, beautifully bound in quarter-leather. John Gartner's personal copy, and we are unaware of any others having been prepared.
Consignment remainderswith a modest Indian collection, an album of Nauru blocks of 4, Norfolk self-adhesives large blocks, range of Tasmanian cds on Pictorials including a superb 'BLESSINGTON UPPER' (rated RR), also some early editions of "Australian Stamp Monthly" plus 1980s "The Australian Philatelist" (an excellent publication).
Group with Victoria "Emblems" & "Barred Numerals" both by Purves, Prestige Philately auction catalogues "Walkley WA Postal History", "Nelson CofA Postal History", "McNamee Registered Mail of Tasmania", "Blake South Australia", "Bakker BCOF" & "Australian Postal Stationery" (Sinfield Postal Cards & Diserio Wrappers), and a few early journals.
1988 ACSC hardbound catalogue, 2005 Sir Gawaine Baillie auction catalogue "Australian States & Commonwealth", Signoscope watermark detector (needs repairing) and 20cm UV desk light. No reserve.

1959-2010 "London Philatelist" apparently largely complete run in three large cartons, plus a box of later editions, generally very fine. A wealth of important articles - most of which have appeared nowhere else - by many of the world's foremost philatelists and thus an exceptional resource for any serious collector. No reserve.
1951-84 "Philately from Australia" apparently largely complete run in a large carton. Numerous excellent articles by leading philatelists including Purves, Doery, Creed, Gartner, Campbell, etc etc. No reserve.
"The Collectors Club Philatelist" (New York) array of mostly 2000s issues. No reserve.
Stanley Gibbons range including 2009 'Stamps of the World' five-volume set, 2008 'Part One' plus 1914-15, 1940, 1952 & 1954 editions and 1915 'Stamps Of Foreign Countries', also ACSC from 1950s-60s, etc.

AUSTRALIA - VICTORIA:Robson Lowe "The unique collection of Victoria Half-Lengths of Dr RN Wawn" (28.5.1952) & (3.12.1952), both hardbound, annotated with prices & with the p/r tipped-in, plus "A Guide to the classification..." by JRWP Purves (but not attributed to him). The hardbound editions are rarely available.
NEW GUINEA:"Not a Poor Man's Field: The New Guinea Goldfields to 1942" by Michael Waterhouse (2010), the special leather & boxed edition with 1939 Bulolo 1/- 2/- 5/- & £1 VFU (Cat £400+) in a mount recessed into the front cover!!
