Group including 1915 Sydney postcard wallet with KGV 1d red x2, 1923 to UK with KGV 2d and boxed 'DAMAGED BY IMMERSION/IN SEA WATER IS' h/s, 1925 registered with large red 'DARWIN' label, 1938 with 'GEELONG CENTENARY' cinderella, 1941 POW postcard airmail to England, STO envelopes for Brooke's Coffee (illustrated) and Australian Glass, also batch of Pre-Decimal FDCs and commemorative covers with range of cachets, etc, condition generally fine.
Illustrated advertising covers for Victorian firms including Fosters Lager, Australian Licorice, Hotel Alexander, Cole's Book Arcade, Crompton Lamps, Precedent Radio, Twin City Tractors, etc, also for Norwegian Shipping & Trade Mission to USA (noted as British Naval Intelligence undercover address!), condition variable.
Album of mostly pre-1946 advertising covers with many illustrated types including for Avery Scales, Cliff Howe Ventriloquist, Southern Cross Windmills, HJ Plint Markets (Brisbane), Rosentengel Furniture, Repco Piston Rings, Owen French Piano Factory, John Jaffray Machinery (all-over advert on reverse but damaged on opening) etc, also for Morris Bros (Perth) with text on back "You owe it to your wife...that your home shall have a Refrigerator..."!, Crookwell NSW all-over adverts for local firms & 1935 Bible Sunday, condition variable. An excellent basis for an exciting new collecting interest.

1906(c.) Rae Brothers pictorial envelopes "set" of 12 views comprising a) with 'Rae Brothers Perth' imprint "CLAREMONT", "MUNDARING WEIR", "PERTH FROM MT ELIZA", "PERTH R STATION" (with tram), "THE ZOO PERTH" & "WATCHING INTER 8-OAR BOAT RACE PERTH 1906"; or b) without imprint "HOLIDAYING ON THE SWAN", "NEW COURT HOUSES PERTH" (with tram), "PARLIAMENT HOUSES PERTH", "THE ESPLANADE PERTH", "WA BLACKS AT BREAKFAST" (a previously unrecorded view) & "WA GINS SMOKE OH", some very fresh, others with very minor blemishes mostly on the reverse, unused. A rare group.

1899illustrated cover for an American newspaper's presence aboard US Transport "Sheridan" heading for the Spanish-American conflict in the Philippines, to the USA with 15c olive tied by Colombo duplex, 'WINCHESTER, MASS/24/APR/1899/RECD' arrival b/s, minor flap tear.
Covers & Stationery including 1855 with ½a blue x2 on yellow envelope (attractive), 1858 part-outer with 1a red, 1858 with ½a blue tied '138' cancel and 'BOMBAY GPO/1 Dely' unframed b/s, 1872 East India Railway Electric Telegraph Department lettersheet with 'LOCAL/TPO BENGAL' oval d/s and North West Provinces 'F/NWP/No3' transit, 1911 with 'ALLAHABAD RMS/SET No1' TPO cds & French postage dues, WWI Forces with 'HS TAKADA/On Active Service' cachet, 1922 insured parcel tag with 'V/P/ESPLANADE/(CALCUTTA)' label, registered & official mail, illustrated advertising & instructional markings noted a couple of 'TOO LATE' types, plus Convention States group including 1903 QV ½a tied 'GWALIOR-STATE/ VICEROY'S CAMP POST OFFICE' hooded-circle d/s and 1910 registered with KEVII 3p 'CHAMBA/STATE' overprints x10 & provisional 'R' cachet on blank label, 1894 ½a envelope 'PATIALA/STATE' with 'BATHINDA RY STN' squared circle & 'POSTAGE DUE' cachet, eight inwards items from Germany & 1877 illustrated US cover to Jubbulpoor, postmark interest, condition mixed but many fine.

WWII Military Postal Cards five-frame exhibit offered intact of Southern Zone usages comprising Star x18, Characters x26, Dove & Helmet x38 and Pictorial x38 types, also Airmail Star x27, Characters (Obliterated) x2 & Naval type with Anchor, and two reply cards from Japan to Sumatra or Malaya, wide variety in the printings, shades & colours and stocks used, including a number of very elusive provisional types, condition variable but many (most?) are fine to very fine and all are used.
It is often difficult to be clear about where these cards originated: included are two from "North Australia", which can't be correct. They are presumably from the Dutch Indies or New Guinea, both of which are north of Australia. Others identified as from Ambon, Burma x12, Indo-China x6 (including two with Cambodian scenes), Java x13, Malaya x25 (including three British-era PPCs with captions obliterated), New Guinea/Solomons x7, North Borneo x2 (very rare, one a scenic type), Philippines x18, Sumatra x16 and Thailand x8 (four identified as from the Death Railway).
