NEW GUINEA - "N.W./PACIFIC/ISLANDS" Overprints
Neat collection on leaves with values to 5/- including some overprint varieties, and 1918 Surcharges tied to separate pieces by 'KIETA' cds in violet, generally fine to very fine.
1915-16 KangaroosFirst Watermark 5/- grey & yellow SG 83 Type b, exceptional centring, a few short perfs & one pulled perf, hinge remainder, Cat £3400 (for Type b). Ex Tom Belknap. A rare & significantly underrated stamp - especially the Type b variety - that is missing from most NWPI collections.

1925-27 Hut Airs(the 5/- a corner example with Short 'I' in 'AIR', unmounted), and 1939 Bulolo Airs, mostly lightly to very lightly mounted, Cat £1350.
1882-1900 Second Sidefaceswith Advertising on Reverse scarce selection comprising 1d with Chisel Flaw, 1d pair & strip of 4, 2½d x14, 5d x10, 6d x17, 8d x12 and 1/- x17, noted 'FLAG/BRAND/PICKLES' in black, just a couple of duplicates, generally fine condition, Cat £2900+.

1970-76 Pictorials4c Puriri Moth with the Yellow Printing (Body) Omitted CP #P6c[V] horizontal pair, unmounted, $NZ1500+. Unlisted by Gibbons.
2004 Olympic Games$2 Peter Snell with the Laminated Lenticular Image Inverted CP #S918aZ, apparently commercially used but uncancelled, on the reverse remnants of the red envelope from which it was removed, Cat $NZ3000 mint; unpriced used. An extraordinary and bizarre error, and the only used example known to us. With a normal used example for comparison. [It's a surprise that such an idiotic production could even pass through the cancelling machines without being de-laminated, but the normal stamp proves this was possible]
Attractive mostly mint collection with 1902 'NIUE' Handstamp SG 1 unusually well centred (RPSofV Certificate), 1902 Overprints 2½d unmounted corner block of 8, ½d SG 3 unmounted marginal block of 30 & Inverted Surcharge, 1d SG 4, then apparently complete to 1974 (missing QV 2/- 2/6d & 10/-) with extras including Birds 1/- shades, 1917 1d SG 21 corner block of 25 (tonespots but unmounted) & 3d Two-Perf Pairs SG 22c block of 4, 1917-21 Two Perf Pairs complete & extra unmounted 3d block of 4, 1932 Pictorials 1/- die proof, Jubilee unmounted blocks of 4, etc, some used including Arms 2/6d corner block of 12, & a few philatelic covers, generally very fine, Cat £3000+.
