1905 Crown/A Chalk-Surfaced Paper20/- bright cobalt-blue Perf 11x12 BW #N75B (SG 350b) lower-left corner pair with large-part 'CP' (Charles Potter) Monogram, rich shade, very lightly mounted. Superb! Ex Colonel Harrie Evans: acquired at the Prestige auction of 30.4.2011 for $8050. [The ACSC notes the presence of monograms in this issue but states "The existence of marginal monograms in the various perforations is not well documented, and at present no attempt has been made to list these". We note that the equivalent face-value Kangaroo First Wmk 1 - issued throughout the country, not just in one State - monogram singles are catalogued at $90,000+ each]
