Mostly used collectionfrom Kangaroos with 10/- Third Wmk 'OS' puncture CTO, £1 brown & blue telegraph puncture, CofA Wmk £1 & £2 (creased), KGV Heads simplified plus 'OS' overprints, Kookaburra 6d Engraved and 3d M/S (stains), then apparently complete simplified to 1965 including 5/- Bridge (telegraph cds), Navigators set of 6 & 'OS' overprints, also BCOF set * and a few Postage Dues, plus small range of Colonies & States with some Revenues, condition mixed but many fine.

48xb10/- grey & pink with Type C 'SPECIMEN' Overprint ACSC #48xb, well centred, lightly mounted, Cat $3250. [Only 360 - 12 formes of 30 - were prepared]

1936 South Australian Centenary2d 3d & 1/- (fault) all handstamped 'SPECIMEN' in green, affixed to small pieces from record book, minor blemishes. Ex Bill McCredie: acquired in 2012 for $891.
1937 NSW Sesquicentenary2d 3d & 9d all handstamped 'SPECIMEN' in green, affixed to a small piece from record book, a couple of very minor blemishes. Ex Bill McCredie: acquired in 2012 for $977. Michael Drury Certificate (2004) states ex Portuguese India Archive.

1966 Australian Post Office 'APO Mailing Course Information Kit' with an array of forms & brochures plus 4c Letter Card, Envelope both sizes, Wrapper & Letter Sheet and Reply Coupons x4 all with sans serif 'SPECIMEN ONLY' h/s in violet. We haven't previously offered a complete kit.
c.1967 Australian Post Office 'APO Mailing Course Information Kit' different format with a lesser selection of forms & brochures plus 4c Letter Card, Envelope both sizes, Wrapper & Letter Sheet, 24c Registration Envelope and Reply Coupons x2 all with seriffed 'SPECIMEN ONLY' h/s in violet.
'SPECIMEN' or 'SPECIMEN ONLY' handstamps on various QEII issues, good variety. Scarce material.
LETTER CARDS:1930-38 KGV 2d red with ½d Kangaroo added & price at upper-left scored-through, 'SPECIMEN' h/s in violet twice on the card & Double Impression One Inverted on the ½d, a few pinholes from where affixed to a notice board at the Melbourne GPO. Unlisted in the ACSC. An important item for collectors of 'SPECIMEN' material: the double handstamp error has not previously been seen by us. [Despite being a KGV issue, this item must date from 1942 when the rate was increased to 2½d & the cost to 3d]
LETTER CARDS:1942 KGVI 2½d with 'SPECIMEN' h/s in violet across the stamp & centrally ACSC #LC69Aw, Cat $500. Superb! [The ACSC states "one example is recorded"]

Accumulation with Flight Covers including 1934 Albury signed "CTP Ulm", 1935 New Zealand signed "C KingsfordSmith" and another franked with KGV 3d blue 'OS' overprint, also BCOF set on registered cover, 1940 Story Bridge Opening cover with label plus other commemoratives, some commercial mail noted 1972 formular aerogramme to Paraguay with 12c Rehab single, then postal stationery used & unused including a few 'SPECIMEN' overprints, condition variable.

A good lot for the specialist in this under-appreciated material.
1885-86 High Value Revenues Overprinted 'POSTAGE'in Black 5/- Perf 12x10 mint (gum blemishes) & 'used' with fake cancels, & 'SPECIMEN' (creased), 10/- 'Specimen' & £1 'Specimen' (trimmed at the top), and in Blue 10/- Perf 12 mint x2 & used x2 (one on piece) and 'SPECIMEN', the mint & used Cat £1600.
1888-89 Centennial of New South Walesincluding imperf colour trials 1d x2, 6d x3, 8d & 20/- x2, then 2d pair with 'INSPECTOR GENERAL' h/s, 5/- 'SPECIMEN' Overprint, 20/- x3 plus 'Specimen' & 'SPECIMEN' Overprints; 'OS' Overprints 1d pane of 60, 5/- (creased) & 20/- CTO, and a few others; generally fine to very fine.
1890 Centennial High ValuesWmk '5/ NSW'-in-Diamond 5/- mauve Perf 11 SG 263da overprinted 'SPECIMEN' complete sheet of 50 (10x5) with 'CP' 'G Pr O/NSW' & '1888' Monograms in the lower margin & complete imprint in the upper margin, a few very minor perf separations in the margins, full unmounted o.g. Superb! Almost certainly Ex Australia Post Archival Sale Number 1 (part of Lot 18).
