1913 EngravedKGV 1d collection of dated cancels from -.12.1913 to -.12.1914 with space for additions, CTO x8 and a few mint plus one 6d Kookaburra, range of shades, possible variety interest, postmarks include 'TPO No3 WEST/NSW' and 'HERGOTT SPRINGS/SA' squared circle, excellent study opportunity, overall fine condition. A very unusual lot. [See also Lot 45]
PROOF OVERPRINTS - THIN TYPE:Large piece (128x167mm) with 24 impressions (4x6) from the lower-right of the right-hand pane [Rows 5/10 Pos 5 to 8] in red including Stop after 'JAPAN.' [Row 5 Pos 5], 'B' in Wrong Font (Smaller 'B') [Row 7 Pos 6] & the unlisted Broken 'C' [Row 10 Pos 8], small paper inclusions, Cat $2600+. Ex Sybrand Bakker. [NB: Row 9 Pos 7 shows the '6' intact, which means that the unlisted Broken '6' variety occurred later due to wear]

1984-88 Marine Life55c with Cyan Printing ('BENNETT'S NUDIBRANCH') Completely Omitted ACSC #1053c (SG 930a) tied to so-called "maximum card" by 'KOOKABURRA SHELL/18JUN1984/Gladstone Qld 4680' cds being the First Day of Issue of the stamp, Cat $2500 (£1500). With a normal stamp for comparison. [The ACSC states that fewer than ten examples have been recorded, all on maximum cards]

1989 Non-Olympic Sports39c Fishing as ACSC #B165 but Miscut at an Angle resulting in three upper units with Part-Inscriptions Omitted and three lower units with Additional Part-Inscriptions, unmounted. A striking error. Unrecorded in the ACSC.

POSTAL CARDS:1911 Fullface 1d exhibit pages with P1 the three different Re-Entries of the Banner unused (Cat $500 each), & uprated with SAust ½d to Germany, Coronation types x4 different one uprated with SAust ½d to Germany, New Admonition P23 uprated with SA ½d to Austria and uprated with ½d Roo to Belgium, Hungary & Italy, and a few later issues, generally fine to very fine.
ENVELOPES:1979 Founding of Hobart Anniversary 20c with Dark Blue Printing (Building) Omitted, unused. With a normal envelope for comparison. A striking error.

Superb! Alberto Diena Certificate (1965) states "e perfetto".
1850-51 Sydney ViewsBluish to Grey Wove Paper 3d yellow-green 'SIGIIIUM' for 'SIGILLUM' SG 42c being the central unit in a horizontal strip of 3 [R5 2-4], margins close to large except where just touched at the base between the first & second units & with a chunk of the adjoining unit at left, bars cancels of Sydney intrude on the variety but the 'SIGII' is obvious, Cat £1150+.
1851-54 Laureatesrange on Hagners with One Penny 1d SG 44 x2, 1d scarlet SG 46 unused x2 & vertical pair, Laid Paper 1d SG 49 (small thins, RPSofL Certificate) & SG 50 x2 (one with RPSofL Certificate), SG 44-50c large-part reconstruction of 39 of the 50 positions; Two Pence 2d SG 51-59 complete reconstruction of the 50 positions including two with parts of the imprint; Three Pence x5, one apparently unused but cut-into; Six Pence x11; and Eight Pence x14; then Watermarked 1d x12 plus large-part reconstruction of 27 of the 50 positions, 2d x22 including two unused, and 3d apparently unused x3, used x16, a complete reconstruction of the 50 positions & Error Wmk '2' SG 87b (two margins); condition rather mixed but there are many fine to very fine stamps, some very large examples, and several of the listed varieties. High catalogue value.

1854-60 Imperf Large Diadems1/- shades SG 99-101 group of singles x14, pairs x11, strip of 4 & blocks of 4 x2, a few with the Watermark Inverted & Reversed, and Error Wmk '8' x10 including a pair, most with full margins & many are very attractive, condition a bit variable, Cat £5000+. Ex Guy Hutson.
1854-60 Imperf Small Diademsrange on Hagners with 1d & 2d with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint, 1d shades x27 including one unused & two pairs, 2d shades x122 including five unused & several pairs, 2d Wmk '5' x14, 3d shades x21, 3d Wmk '2' (three margins, cut-into at left) and Lithographed 2d x2 one on part-outer to Moreton Bay District with superb 'DRAYTON/=NSW=' arrival b/s, condition rather variable but many are fine to very fine and/or attractive examples, a few watermark varieties & some postmark interest.
1854-60 Imperf Small Diadems2d blue (shades) Major Retouches SG 112a identified as from positions ,  x3, ,  x2,  x2, , , , ,  x3 &  x2, also pairs [103-104], [104-105] & [105-106] and a very rare strip of 3 [25-27], condition variable with a few being obviously defective but many have full or almost-full margins and many are cancelled lightly or clear of the retouched areas, Cat £12,000+. Plus a sheaf of research papers.
1854-60 Imperf Small Diadems2d pale blue with Major Retouch SG 112a [24, extensive work on the background & elsewhere], margins close to good except where just touched at upper-right, tied to 1859 outer to Molong by superb Sydney 'OC27/1859' duplex, central filing fold well clear of the stamp & postmark, Cat £450 x3+. An extremely rare & desirable franking of one of the most extensively retouched units.
