1989-99 Sports Definitives 43c Skateboarding self-adhesive sheet of 44 stamps & 16 promotional labels irregularly arranged & with 60 Kangaroos on the reverse matching the positioning of the stamps & labels, two vertical folds - clear of the stamps & labels - reinforced with "sticky" tape. An extraordinary pre-production item that is apparently a proof or test sheet for preparation of the "collector's packs" mentioned in the ACSC "Decimals II" at page 850.

STAMPED TO ORDER ISSUES: c.1920 Star 1½d brown with printed address for WH Burford & Sons (Adelaide) ACSC #LCS4A front only with advertising on the reverse for soap, candles etc, central fold & small repaired tear at the top, Cat $1500. Rare. [The ACSC does not make it clear that the price is for a front only but considering that the other contemporary issues are priced at $3000 each this does seem to be an obvious conclusion]

1916-19 Star 1½d red-brown Die 3 (No Triangles) ACSC #PS17 for the NSW Registrar-General, to Corowa with Sydney machine cancel of OC31/1921, Cat $500. Superb!
1938-50 KGVI Oval 1937 1d green ACSC #PS25 1) on white for the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of SA, superb; 2) on pale yellow for Frank O'Brien Glass (NSW), addressed but otherwise unused, fault at right probably caused by the typewriter; & 3) on grey for Adelaide Co-Operative Society, superb; all unused, Cat $750.
1938-50 KGVI Oval 1½d green Blotter Card ACSC #PS29c in blue on light blue for John Danks & Son Hardware (NSW) with 'BLOTTER' printed at upper-left, to Armidale (NSW) with Sydney slogan cancel of 28MCH/1949, minor blemish on the reverse, Cat $1000. Most attractive. Ex John Sinfield: sold at the Prestige auction of 8.11.2013 for $862. [The only Blotter Card we have seen other than from South Australia]
1938-50 KGVI Oval 1d brown ACSC #PS28(2) on white for Spectacle Makers Pty Ltd (NSW) uprated with ½d Roo tied by part-machine cancel, message dated "7/10/1947", Cat $3000. Superb! Illustrated in the ACSC. [The ACSC states this is the only recorded example]

1929 (Aug 12) catalogue envelope (247x177mm) for Joseph Charles by air to Tasmania with scarce franking of Small Multiple Wmk 1/- Roo & KGV 1/4d pair plus 3d Airmail (fault) tied by Perth Krag machine cancel, 'ST HELENS/19AU29/TASMANIA' arrival b/s, folds clear of the stamps. The 1/4d is rare on domestic mail. [Sent as Printed Matter, the rate was 1d per 4oz x2 + airmail supplement of 3d per ½oz x15 = 47d for an article weighing between 7½ & 8oz. At the time, the final leg Melbourne-Launceston was by sea]
1938-49 mostly commercial covers all with 5d Ram frankings including registered, airmails including EAMS to GB x2, advertising covers, 'PB' perfin, postmarks, destinations including Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Holland (with large 'OAT' cachet) & Philippines, uses in TPNG, etc, condition variable but a very good "single-stamp" lot.
