BRITISH HONDURAS: 1964 10c Aerogramme with major error Black Printing (Inscriptions, Queen & Highlights on the Bird) Completely Omitted, lengthy social message within headed "Big Creek 16th December" & with the beginnings of an address when the sender obviously realised there was something not quite right!, minor blemishes & light central fold. Extraordinary!

FRENCH COMMUNITY - CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC: 1960-63 Airs 250fr Red-Headed Inseparables (Lovebirds) die proofs in black, two shades of purple-brown & the issued colours, two with embossed seal & signed "Pierre Bequet", three blocks of plate proofs in various colours, & unaddressed FDC. Superb!

FRENCH COMMUNITY FRENCH GUIANA: 1947 Bird Definitives die proofs on thick wove paper for 25fr in green & in violet, and 40fr in sepia, in dark brown, in brown-red & in black, two signed by the designer "P Gandon" & two with large '.../MINISTERE DES COLONIES' embossing, very fine; also registered covers to USA with 25fr strip of 3 or 25fr 40fr & 50fr, minor blemishes. Very attractive group.

GERMANY: Stamped to Order Postal Cards Bavarian 5pf & German 3pf with parrots on the viewsides both unused, Bavaria 5pf with Parrot-Shooting Competition used & Danzig 10pf for Gregor Mendel CTO, 1933 Fifth South America Flight per Graf Zeppelin with parrot cachet, several meter cancels including superb strike including parrot & swastika on 1935 record card, etc, a few problems but most are fine to very fine.

GERMANY: 1903 Bavaria 5pf Stamped to Order Postal Card for X Deutsches Turnfest with scene on face of a parrot-shooting contest & chromolitho reverse of winning crossbowman, double-oval commemorative datestamp. Lovely item.
GERMANY: 1911 Bavaria 3pf Stamped to Order Postal Card for Kunst & Kaufmann Relame-Buro with parrot logo front & back, correct local usage.

GREAT BRITAIN: c.1870 QV 1d pink Stamped to Order Letter Sheet with numerous advertisements within some illustrated including for bird cages, the stamp oxidised otherwise remarkably fine unused. Rare: unlisted by Huggins & Baker.
GREAT BRITAIN: 1880 cover with allover advertising on the face for 'WILLIAM CROSS/THE LARGEST IMPORTER OF PARROTS/IN THE WORLD' & on the reverse 'IMPORTER OF WILD/BEASTS. BIRDS & REPTILES', opened-out for display, fragile & with significant faults still a dramatic cover.
