Consignment remainders in stockbooks including some Decimal postage & FDCs, plus worldwide in albums. Weighs 8kgs.
Modest collection with most of the value in the decimals plus albums of FDCs with a few unusual private producers in the 1950s & 1960s.

Comb Perf 5d chestnut ACSC #123, superb 'ELIZABETH ST/ 2 /12JL17/[MELBOURNE]' cds being the Earliest Recorded Usage for this stamp. [The ACSC states the printing was in April 1915 and the ERD is 15.8.1917. This usage is 4½ weeks earlier]
C of A - Postal Stationery - Envelopes (PTPO)
1916-22 Star without 'POSTAGE' 1d red Die 2 for S Cooke Pty Ltd local usage at Melbourne 24JE16, minor blemishes, Cat $50++. [The ACSC states "It is believed the first orders were on 27 June 1916". This usage is three days before that date & may well represent a previously unrecognised First Day of Issue]

1923 1Â½d Green Perf 12½ ACSC #LC51 'SPRING ST MELB' (tram & horse-drawn buggy), to Arkansas (rare destination) with 1½d green tied by Sydney cds of 3OC23, minor discolouration, Cat $500. The earliest recorded date of usage of the 1½d green cards. [The ACSC states the ERD is 10.10.1923]

C of A - Postal Stationery - Postal Cards
1918 New Shaded Heading 1d red ACSC #P47 with printed advice for S Hoffnung & Co & uprated with KGV ½d green - 'SH/&/Co LTD' perfin - for the War Tax, corner bend at lower-left & a bit soiled, Cat $1500. Rare: the ACSC states that fewer than 10 used & only three unused examples have been recorded. All the used examples have been uprated. The vast majority from this printing were surcharged.

1950s to modern collection with range of various cachet-makers to 1969 then Australia Post official covers reasonably complete to 2010+, noted 1970 Expo (addressed), Royal Visit (addressed, & unaddressed with pair) & Grasslands (unaddressed but minor toning), some commemorative cancels, also PSEs mostly with FDI cancels, lots of thematic interest, condition generally fine.
Huge accumulation in four large boxes with some Pre-Decimals but majority Decimal up to recent, also some PSEs with FDI cancels and other stationery, commemorative cancels, noted AAT covers with Base cancels, condition generally fine. Weighs 40kg.
Bundle of 1960s & early-1970s issues many unusually with pairs &/or blocks of 4 including 1963-64 Navigators, 1964-65 Birds & 1966 Decimals, etc, also 1970 Captain Cook Bicentennial two sets of long covers with strip & 30c tied by the twelve different pictorial cds, some light soiling but all the better ones are unaddressed.

1913-14 Engraved KGV 1d red plus Kangaroos ½d and 1d on Fred Hagen cover to Switzerland tied by clear 'SYDNEY/-9DE13' cds being the official First Day of Issue for the Engraved Penny, a couple of very minor blemishes hardly detract, Cat $7500. [The ACSC states "At least eleven first day covers exist ..." (the same number as known for the Penny Kangaroo, which is catalogued at $15,000)]
1923 KGV 1Â½d green tied to plain cover by superb 'PARKVILLE/7MR23/VIC.' cds being the official First Day of Issue ACSC #88y, unsealed & unaddressed, Cat $10,000. [The ACSC states "Only one first day cover can be traced". This was Arthur Gray's registered cover - a few blemishes - dated 6MR23 (!) which was sold at the Mossgreen auction of 30.10.2015 for $4370]
1931 Airmail 6d sepia tied by 'GPO MELBOURNE/4NO31/ 2 ' cds ACSC #144y on Blogg Brothers registered airmail cover to Perth with Kingsford Smith 2d alongside, a couple of minor aging marks, Cat $700. [The rate was 2d letter rate + 3d airmail surcharge per ½oz x2 = 8d]
1941 War Tax Surcharges '2½d' on 2d, '3½d' on 3d & '5½d' on 5d Ram plus the four Definitives issued on the same day 1d brown-purple, 1½d green, 2d mauve & 3d purple-brown all tied to plain Sydney Press Club cover by 'PARLIAMENT HOUSE/10DE41/NSW' cds, registered with Sydney transit b/s of the same date & 'BALGOWLAH' arrival b/s of the 11DE41, Cat $2375 for five FDCs. Rare & superb! [The only such dual issue FDC we have seen]
1942-50 Definitives 1d brown-purple pair tied to unsealed plain FDC to USA by 'LAMBTON/1JA43/NSW' cds, scarce ' 2/1 /PASSED/BY/CENSOR/ 12 ' Newcastle censor h/s, ACSC Cat $400.
VICTORIA - Postal History
1891 usage of 2d Postal Card to Germany with Melbourne duplex of OC1/91 being the day Victoria joined the Universal Postal Union & from when the foreign postcard rate was reduced to 1½d, 'T'-in-oval h/s applied & then crossed-through when the error was realised. Superb! Ex Hugh Freeman. [An exceptional item for the Victorian postal historian or collector of UPU as a subject]
Great Britain 1970-80s mint & used plus booklets x80+ including a few Pre-Decimal, also 1981 Royal Wedding collection ** plus extra gutter pairs, 1985 Queen Mother FDCs album, etc, lots of thematic interest, condition fine. Weighs 7kg.
Large suitcase & a carton with World array in several albums, boxes, packets etc, noted lots of Ceylon/Sri Lanka and other Asia, condition very mixed; also a quantity of FDCs etc from Australia, Ceylon/Sri Lanka, GB etc, mostly very fine. Very heavy.
Covers accumulation including Australia commercial mail & FDCs, 1960s airmails to Australia from Samoa, Asia, Europe, GB, USA, etc, China 1920s to England with 24 stamps on back, Germany Third Reich PPCs x4, etc, condition mixed but many fine. Weighs 10kg.
