C of A - Military - World War II
1945 aerogrammes to England all with lengthy social messages, the first two respectively with Melbourne and Sydney 'Opened by Censor' red/yellow label specifically provided for use on airletters, the other with Brisbane '1' small circular cachet in violet indicating checked by censor but not opened, a few blemishes.
NEW SOUTH WALES: c.1905-30 Sydney beaches & swimming, noted Manly, Bondi, Coogee & La Perouse. Ex Harry Gallagher, Australia's swimming coach at the 1956 1960 1964 & 1968 Olympics.
NEW SOUTH WALES: 1900 usage of 1d Postal Card with three part-strikes of the rare 'THE CAMP/DE31/1900/ NSW' cds (ERD), to 'MALTA' with arrival cds of FE3/01 on the face, minor blemishes. Rare: recorded 18 months only, & the only recorded example on cover. [Little is known of this "PO" or marking. It was presumably a "relief" type that moved from site to site]

TASMANIA: c.1911 usage of Fullface 1d Letter Card ('NATIONAL PARK/NS WALES'; vertical scene) endorsed "Ross Camp Ross" at left & with faint strike of the rubber 'MILITARY CAMP' cds in blue, somewhat aged. Rare.

Early OHMS military group with NSW 1d 'OS' Envelope with 'Cadet Corps at ["Casino"]' imprint at L/L (central fold); South Australia 1d Postal Cards with printed advices for Tatiara Defence Rifle Club (outside) & SA Rifle Volunteer Force; Victoria OHMS envelope with '...COMPANY/Victorian Mounted Rifles' imprint at at L/L, minor blemishes, and 1895 OHMS postcard with 'C BATTERY/Field Artillery Brigade/Albert Park' imprint at L/L, a bit aged.

Miscellany with New South Wales mint blocks of 4 including Wmk '10' 10d, Wmk Crown/NSW 'NINE PENCE' on 10d x2 & 10d with Plate Number '1', 7½d on 6d & 12½d on 1/-, 'OS' Overprints 1d block of 12 & 4d block of 6, etc; South Australia very fine used imperf 2d strip of 3; Tasmania Courier 4d pair cut square; Victoria 1897 Charities mint; Western Australia Hillman 6d vertical pair (grubby but a very scarce multiple); etc, condition variable.

Accumulation in stockbook from Sydney Views including 1d pair (cut-into at top) and 2d (creased) with numeral '100' of Baraba (RRR), Laureates 2d superb marginal single with numeral '66' and pair with numeral '57' of Raymond Terrace (RR), range of imperf Diadems to 1/- noted a few Moreton Bay cancels, then quantity later issues noted postally-used Stamp Duty 'TWO PENCE' on 1d brown pair, also surcharges and official overprints, some mint including 'NINEPENCE' on 10d block of 11, a few imprints & 'SPECIMEN' overprints including Stamp Duty 10/-, Postage Dues, Revenues noted 1870s 5/- used, apparently unchecked for perf & wmk varieties, plenty postmark interest, condition mixed but many fine.
1851-53 Laureates Fine Impressions on Blued Paper 2d chalky blue SG 53 horizontal strip of 4, margins close to large, shallow thin between the first two units & a couple of ironed-out creases, Cat £140++. Very scarce multiple.
1854-59 Large Diadems 5d dull green SG 88, margins close to large, large-part o.g., Cat £1300.
1854-59 Large Diadems 1/- pale red SG 100, close even margins, unused, Cat £4000.
1856-60 Small Diadems 1d imperforate plate proof in scarlet on blued unwatermarked paper, margins close to good.
1860-72 Diadems 1/- rose-carmine as SG 153 but Imperforate with diagonal 'SPECIMEN' Overprint, large even margins, no gum.
1882-97 Wmk '40' 6d mauve Perf 12x10 marginal from the right of the sheet with part-imprint as SG 235ca but Imperf at Right, postal cancel. Rare: about 8 examples have been recorded, of which most have fiscal cancels.
