COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA
Box of mostly pre-WWII loose stamps & pieces many from parcels & with several incomplete 'PARCELS POST' labels one of 1913 with First Wmk 1/- Roo (weep!!), other pieces noted with 6d Engraved & probably First Wmk 2/- Roo (weep again!), lots of KGV Penny Reds, etc. This material has never before been on the market. We expect it is completely unpicked for varieties and postmarks. [See also Lot 368]

Two large cartons of mostly philatelic souvenirs for Australian exhibitions plus PSEs mostly CTO, etc, some other material including a small stockbook with Canadian TPO postmarks.
Archive box with a basic collection in two albums with lots of used multiples and some postmark interest including 'WAVE HILL/NT', also a large quantity partly sorted in packets, and some FDCs.
Tin of postmarks on piece completely unchecked by us.
Used accumulation from Colonies/States noted NSW Consumptive Homes pair * (toned), Kangaroos & KGV Heads including a few *, Pre-Decimals with some imprint blocks, part-sheets, etc, noted Airmail 3d punctured 'OS' plate '4' pair ** (light gum bends), plus quantity loose in envelopes including a few Revenues, postmark interest, condition variable. Weighs 6kgs.
C of A - Kangaroo Issues
Mostly used array including values to 1/- in quantity, also noted 1st Wmk 2/- Large 'OS' puncture, 2nd Wmk 5/- plus 'OS' x2, 3rd Wmk 5/- x2 plus 'OS' x3, 10/- 'OS' puncture CTO x2, a few mint including 3rd Wmk 6d Die IIB **, SM Wmk 1/- imprint pair *, CofA Wmk 'SPECIMEN' set ** (sun-tanned gum), also State Government & commercial perfins, a few KGV Heads etc amongst them, potential postmark interest, condition mixed but many fine.
C of A KGV - King George V Issues
Mostly used array including all values in quantity noted 1d red shades, 4d lemons x3 at least one of which fits the ACSC 'lime-yellow' description "... watermark shows distinctly through the design, the details of which are difficult to distinguish", plenty of 'OS' punctures, State Government & commercial perfins, some mint including 4½d Single Harrison imprint block & 5d CofA Ash imprint block, a few Kangaroos etc, potential postmark interest, condition mixed but many fine.
Box full of used sorted into envelopes & bags with 1d reds x100s plus quantity of other values including 4d lemons x20, potential postmark interest also, lots of fun here.

Old-time collection on leaves of Single & LM Wmk issues predominantly used noted ½d 'Cyprus' green, 1d reds including Single-Line Perf x30+, Die II x25+, Die III x5, Large Multi Wmk x25+, 4d lemons x20+ including one 'OS', 1/4d x15, etc, some annotated varieties including ½d green Flaw on Head *, 1d green 'RA' Joined * x2 and Secret Mark in 'OS' punctured positional pair, 1½d red inverted wmk, numerous 'OS' & State Government punctures, potential postmark interest also, plus second volume with 1d red shades x300, condition generally fine.

1951 New Design 3d green ACSC #PS31 for Stewarts & Lloyds (Vic), unaddressed but with 'TOORAK SE2/ 26OC53/VIC-AUST' cds, small repaired tear at upper-left, Cat $500 used.
C of A - Postal Revenues
Mostly used bundle with Kangaroo 4d Long Envelope with KGV 1d violet added (minor spotting), KGV 4d orange/white, QEII 2/5d with 'CANCELLED' h/s across the 'COMPENSATION' clause, 2/5d Helecon Ink ACSC #RE44, etc, five with red registration labels & some postmark interest.
Used selection including Kangaroo 4d 'REGISTERED LETTER' with 'REGISTERED/BRISBANE' cds in rosine, KGV 4d orange/white uprated to GB, 1919 New Format #RE9 with ½d for War Tax (very fine, Cat $1500), 5d #RE10A with scarce 'REGISTERED LETTER SECTION/GPO ADELAIDE' rubber d/s, Flap Folded to Front 5d #RE11A & B (flap fault), 4½d on 5d #RE16 CTO, #RE17d x2 (one with Surcharge at an Angle), Oval 4½d both sizes, etc, also 1960s 'OHMS 'RETURNED LETTER' Envelope for Sydney DLO, condition variable but most are fine to very fine, Cat $2800+.

Interesting array with a batch of airmail covers including commercial items three with KGV 1/4d & to Singapore with Large Kooka 6d & 3d White Wattles, 1908 Northern Tasmanian Tourists Association view-wallet, 1916 to USA with KGV ½d & 1d pair with 'AWS' perfins, 1919 registered with KGV ½d green & 4d orange, 1926 with boxed 'CLOSED/AGAINST/INSPECTION' h/s taxed with Postage Due 2d & 3d x5, 1932 with KGV 2d 'OS' Overprint, 1932 Letter Card with 'GOVERNMENT HOUSE GARDEN FETE/SYDNEY' cds (used one day only), 1934 paquebot with Macarthur set cancelled at Naples Italy, 1944 YMCA foldout Christmas card, two items damaged in transit with Post Office advice letters, etc, also NSW 1853 outer with Sydney Views 3d to London "per Harbinger" & a modest group of Tasmanian Postal Cards including a few with added Embossings, condition rather mixed.

Small box with some KGV items including commercial registereds from 'MURTOA/VIC', 'TAREE/NSW' & 'TULLAMORE/ NSW', 1920 KGV Sideface 4d Registration Envelope uprated to Denmark with scarce red/black RL of 'TAMBO' (Qld), two 5/10d rate Clipper covers to GB, condition variable; and a batch of 60+ Postal Stationery all philatelic with various Vietnam War cancels.
1913 usage of 'TASMANIA/INTERSTATE/PARCEL POST' black/pink label with rare combination franking of First Wmk 1/- (Cat $1250 on cover) & Tasmanian 2d tied by a largely complete strike of the enormous 'CHIEF PARCELS OFFICE/JUL 7 1913/HOBART' datestamp (rated RR) in violet, minor blemishes.
1923-40 complete 'PARCELS POST' labels including eleven different editions, various frankings mostly with Roos to 2/-, several with scarce parcel roller cancels, condition variable with some creasing but all highly presentable. The basis for an interesting collection.
