1929 Adelaide - Perth group including First Flights noted 'Map' illustrated cover, registered with 3d Airmail plate singles '1'-'4' & inwards from GB, also later flights noted Great Britain KGV booklet pane with advertising panels posted under cover to Malta where KGV 1½d added then via Perth to Tasmania, Germany with Zeppelin 1 Mark and Ebert 45pf & 60pf endorsed "Mit Luftpost in Australien" (some blemishes) and others carried via Imperial Airways Karachi-London service, condition mixed but mostly fine.

Box of mostly 1940s-1950s covers with Forces mail including scarce postmarks, bundle of KGV & KGVI STO Envelopes, five 1940s postcards with 'VG' frankings, early-1942 Darwin to Melbourne with 5½d on 5d Ram, 1954 Singapore crash cover, etc, condition variable.
Mostly pre-WWII advertising group including illustrated covers for International Harvester (Adelaide), Shearer & Sons Ploughs, Seppeltsfield Brandy (front only), TH Wood Nurseryman (Brisbane) (stained), Pianoforte Tuners Association of WA (postcard), PLC (Warwick Qld) & Hotel Kosciusko, 1887 Bartlett Bros (Sandhurst) photographs folder, J Fielding & Co Printers (Sydney) with 'Commercial Papers Only' h/s, Vanderfield & Reid Timber Merchants with 1956 Timber Week label, etc, also advertisng collar cutouts for Sazerac Brandies, Watson's Whiskies, Austin Chapman & Co Commission Agents & Dixon's Tobacco, condition rather mixed but those mentioned are mostly fine to very fine.

Wide-ranging group of better covers including WWI & WWII censor covers, WWII POW covers, OHMS stampless lettersheets, 1913 registered with Large 'OS' 2d pair, 1920 Avis de Réception form with 2½d Roo, 1918 with superb 'INVEST IN THE/7TH WAR LOAN' slogan, 1938 airmail to USA via Hong Kong at 9/3d rate with 5/- Roo, 1939 quintuple airmail to Germany with 5d Ram + 2/- Roo block of 4, 1950s piece from Express parcel, 1921 5d Registration Envelope + 2d orange to GB, 1959 air from GB twice redirected to Willis Island (!), etc, condition variable but most are fine to very fine.
Large shoebox of covers all with KGV frankings with many better values, official perfins, etc, unusual usages including 1924 domestic triple-rate with ½d & 4d blue, 1928 Wesfarmers envelope endorsed "Sample only Rape Seed" with 1d green, 1930 registered packet-wrapping with 4d olive, 1932 postcard underpaid with 1d meter & ½d punctured 'OS' added, 1930s 'PASS BOOK ONLY' envelope with inspection cuts at the sides & 2d brown, address panel from a parcel with 2d 3d & 4d olive & red 'COREEN' (NSW) registration label, 1932 OHMS cover with printed 'COMMERCIAL PAPERS' & rare franking of 4d olive overprinted 'OS' (Cat $800 on cover), etc, some postmark interest including full 'RELIEF STAMP/NSW' machine cancel on 4d olive, many have minor varieties noted, condition very mixed but those mentioned are generally fine to very fine. Advertising Covers accumulation franked with KGV 1d greens generally paying printed matter rate, some with 'Commercial Papers' cachets, wide variety of different merchants, most with Melbourne cancels including slogans but a few CDS also, condition overall fine.
Fascinating advertising covers & postcards a few with "Second Class" endorsements, numerous illustrated items including for 'Resch's Brewery', 'Alpha Fishing Tackle', 'Law Somner Seeds', 'M Baltzer Boot Manufacturer', 'Hoadleys Violet Milk Chocolates', 'Spectacle Makers', 'Pep-O-Mint LifeSavers', etc, a couple with Kangaroos, range with KGV Heads, then on to around 1960s, one or two commercial perfins & also some 'PAID' cancels and meter mail, condition mixed but many fine.
1913 double-rate cover to Yorkshire with hand-painted "mermaid" illustration & associated doggerel at L/L, Kangaroo 1d pair tied by 'NEWCARNIE/WESTN AUST' cds, the flap removed. Pretty.

1916 unfranked cover from Hungary to internee "Max Fenyo" at Liverpool Camp, NSW endorsed "Prisoner of War" with 'BUDAPEST/916APR29' cds and 'FELULVIZSGALVA/UBERPRUFT/BUDAPEST' censor cachet, British 'OPENED BY/CENSOR/1167' label on back, taxed in USA but 'T' cachet obliterated with 'No charge for postage Prisoner/of War Mail New York, NY' cachet, Sydney 'PASSED BY/CENSOR SD' civilian censor in pink & 'R.S. Sands LIEUT COL/GERMAN CONCENTRATION CAMPS/LIVERPOOL NSW' cachet, a few blemishes.
1917 Parsons Brothers cover with beautiful multi-coloured chromo-litho 'Parsons [Lion] Rolled Oats Porridge' box illustration, to Samoa endorsed "per SS Atua" with KGV 1d red tied Sydney 'MR26' machine cancel, boxed 'PASSED BY/CENSOR/ 2 GRI/SAMOA' h/s in green. [Prestige sold similar covers for $920 in 2006 and for $720 in 2014]
1917-18 group with KGV 1d red frankings to Samoa, noted AH Burnet Grainus illustrated envelope, commercial perfins x11 including 'WG/Co', 'WILLS', 'SH/&/CoLtd', 'PL/&B', 'RH/&Co', all with 'GRI/SAMOA' censor h/s numbered '2' or '3' in green, black or violet, some duplication, plus KGV 1d red 'Stars' envelope STO for Australian Drug Co, condition generally fine.
1918 KGV 1d red 'Star' Envelope to internee "W. M. Jasper, GCC 32 / 6, Holdsworthy" with Adelaide '19MAR18' roller cancel, opened by censor & resealed with small pink label and 'CENSORED/GERMAN CONCENTRATION CAMP/LIVERPOOL' cachet on back, endorsed "Postal Note 5/-" in pencil presumably by censor.
1918 commercial cover with KGV 1d red & 'Before Sunset/Buy a/[flag]/WAR LOAN/BOND' poster stamp both tied by Melbourne 'HELP TO WIN THE WAR/BUY WAR SAVINGS CERTIFICATES/...' slogan, related 'FOR/FREEDOM/...' label on the reverse, both of the poster stamps with AJ Mullett imprint.
1918 KGV 1d red 'Star' envelope to Germany endorsed "Prisoner of War" addressed to a POW at Stuttgart with 'ORANGE/NSW' cds, 'CARE OF AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS COMMISSIONERS/...LONDON SW' cachet - partly under Censor label - applied at Sydney, couple of minor blemishes. Mail to POWs in Germany (as opposed to those interned in neutral Holland) was to be supposed to be addressed "c/- Red Cross" London.
1919 YMCA cover endorsed "Prisoner of War Letter" sent unfranked to Melbourne by ex-internee "F Arnold SS Valencia" (return address) with 'ALBANY/20OC19/WESTERN AUSTRALIA' cds. [The SS 'Valencia' left Sydney on 10.10.1919 for Europe with 400+ deported internees from Holdsworthy Camp NSW; the Sydney Morning Herald reported (copy included) "... probably a call will be made at Albany where further deportees will be taken aboard ..."; Haynes (p352) questions whether the POW 'free postage' concession applied to deportees; this item was accepted unfranked and is one of the last items posted under the WWI concession in Australia].
