AUTOGRAPHED FIRST DAY COVERS: Antarctic group signed by Dr Phillip Law explorer & ANARE Director 1949-66 noted 1955 ANARE cover endorsed "Last Mail - Heard Island" with 'ANARE HEARD IS/9MR55/AUST' cds sent to himself, 1957 'Vestfold Hills, Antarctica' real photo postcard showing him raising Australian flag there, range of AAT Base cancels covers some also signed by stamp designer Ray Honisett, then large quantity of Australian covers up to 2000s signed by him and others including Malcolm Kirton (ANARE President), John Gillies, Ranulph Fiennes, etc, includes FDI cancels on pieces & some PSEs, all set out on display pages, plus some ephemera & photographs. (7 large boxes; very heavy)

1914-19 Pioneer Postcards group comprising 1914 Wizard Stone correctly rated with 1d Roo cancelled at Sydney or 1d Engraved uncancelled, Maurice Guillaux x2 (one with Engraved 1d plus GB KGV 1d both tied by 'AERIAL MAIL' cancels), Basil Watson carried & unused and Harry Butler x4 cancelled at Minlaton x2 (one with Butler's facsimile signature), Yorketown (creased hut with HV McKay message) & Adelaide, mostly fine to very fine. An excellent group of these scarce early flight souvenirs.
1919 (Aug 6) Harry Butler souvenir PPC as AAMC #20a but unused, a couple of insignificant blemishes. Unrecorded thus in the ACMC & the only example known to us.
1934 New Zealand group including 1933 'Faith in Australia' special postcard 1) also flown on First Trans-Tasman (Feb) signed CTP Ulm 2) then per First Official (April) signed CTP Ulm, GU Allan, RN Boulton & N Rogers & 3) signed CTP Ulm & N Rogers (dubious cancels); also 'Southern Cross' flights (Jan) signed "CKingsfordSmith" (Cat $650 but unfortunately signature 'improved') and (March) special envelopes x4 including one '1935' error, 'Goodwill' Flight (May) special cover signed CTP Ulm, plus 1940 Flying Boats 'Aotearoa' x13 (variety of illustrated covers & censors) and 'Awarua' outward & return flight both signed O Garden & C Griffin; condition mixed but mostly fine, AAMC Cat $4000+.

Fascinating advertising covers & postcards a few with "Second Class" endorsements, numerous illustrated items including for 'Resch's Brewery', 'Alpha Fishing Tackle', 'Law Somner Seeds', 'M Baltzer Boot Manufacturer', 'Hoadleys Violet Milk Chocolates', 'Spectacle Makers', 'Pep-O-Mint LifeSavers', etc, a couple with Kangaroos, range with KGV Heads, then on to around 1960s, one or two commercial perfins & also some 'PAID' cancels and meter mail, condition mixed but many fine.
1966-75 solo frankings on overseas usages from the 'classic' Decimal period including Fish 7c & 10c, Birds 13c, 15c & 30c, 1969 Primary Industry 15c Timber greeting card airmail to UK, AustraliaAsia 7c airmail PPC to New Zealand, 30c Cook, Qantas & UPU, Pioneers 10c, 50c, 60c & 80c, National Development 30c Beef Roads & 35c Mapping, 1975 PNG Independence 25c on airmail PPC, Christmas issues noted 1969 5c airmail to New Hebrides, 1972 35c to Switzerland, etc, other destinations including Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Netherlands, etc, condition generally fine.
1978 illustrated formular aerogramme airmail to East Germany with Trees 25c solo franking tied by Hobart slogan cancel. Issued 1.6.1978 specifically to pay the Aerogramme rate but became obsolete on 1.7.1978 when the rate rose to 30c. Scarce usage in the 1 month period.

1916 Liverpool Camp Souvenir of Australia's Fighting Sons fold-out wallet with eight views of camp life & training activities, sent to "Young Station via Bathurst" with lengthy personal message, KGV 1d red tied 'LIVERPOOL MILITARY CAMP/NSW' cds, couple of edge faults. Liverpool Military Camp PO 25.2.1915; closed 14.12.1918.

1916 Tidworth Camp (UK) Letter Card with eight views of barracks, etc stapled inside, sent to Victoria with lengthy personal message and Great Britain KGV 1d red tied 'AIF CAMP PO/2' cds & fine '1ST TRAINING BATTALION FPO/11NOV1916/AIF' triple-ring oval h/s alongside, couple of minor blemishes.
Accumulation with 1880s cabinet cards x5 including two G Bridle photos of a rural township (Illawarra NSW region ?), NSW 'School of Arts' real photo card postally used 1910 endorsed Germanton, Mildura Vic Rose Series x 6 including 'Pleasure Steamer Avoca' & 'Irrigated Vineyard', lots of moderns many postally used including inwards airmails to Australia from Yugoslavia (1954) & Pakistan (1955), etc. Also bundle of 1970s National Bank calendars with Australian views including by ST Gill etc, 1860s The Sunday At Home 'A Family Magazine for Sabbath Reading' bound volume (cover missing), swap cards, etc.
