COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA
Used accumulation with 1920s to modern collection on Seven Seas pages including a few Roos & KGV Heads, Commems with some 'OS' overprints noted KSmith pair CTO, Decimals reasonably complete with M/Ss & booklets also, quantity of extras including AAT and a few Australian Colonies, condition generally fine. Weighs 16kgs.
1920s-70 Collection on Seven Seas pages with sparse KGV Heads but noted 'OS' overprints complete **, Kooka M/S (hinged in margin only), some 1930s Commems including a few 'OS' overprints, then 1940+ reasonably complete & unmounted (ex £2 Arms) with 5/- Cattle White Paper, Navigators set (8), BCOF overprints set, Decimal Navigators 'SPECIMEN' set plus 15mm Setting on 75c & $1, etc, generally fine to very fine.
Untidy array with Roos including 1/- with the Watermark Sideways mint pair & 5/- CTO x2, Engraved 6d Kookaburra Imprint/Plate 'No 2' strip of 4 (two unmounted), a few mint 'OS' Overprints, scads of used 2/- Roos & 5/- Robes, etc, condition variable. Inspection recommended.
Official punctures with Large 'OS' 4d x2 5d & 6d, Small 'OS' Roos to Third Wmk 10/- x3 CTO & another used on commercial piece, KGV Heads including 4d violet x4 & 4d blue x6, and a page of State punctures.
C of A - Kangaroo Issues
Mint collection with First Wmk ½d to 1/- (2d is 3rd Wmk; 3d corner bend; 6d small tear); Second Wmk 2d to 1/- (9d is 1st Wmk); Third Wmk 2d to 5/- (both 6d & 2/-); SM Wmk 6d to 5/- plus 6d 'OS'; and CofA Wmk 6d to 5/- plus 6d 'OS' and 10/- to £2 'SPECIMEN' overprints, a few with hinge remainders but a couple apparently unmounted, condition mostly fine.

PUNCTURED SMALL 'OS': ½d to 4d complete, well centred, unmounted, Cat $5000. A very scarce short set.

Mint collection almost complete by Wmk & Perf (ex 1d red Die II; the 4½d Die II is CTO) including 1d green Die II **, SM Wmk 1/4d x2 (one instead of perf 13½x12½; toned perf), Surcharges & 'OS' overprints, a few others unmounted also, centring & condition variable but many fine.
C of A KGV - Single Watermark
Smooth Paper 1d carmine punctured 'OS' block of 36 from the base of Pane VII - L/H margin removed - with Ferns & 'RA' of 'AUSTRALIA' Joined ACSC #71(4)ia & j but with varieties f g & h not evident, 'CA' Monogram 1mm below the Jubilee Line #71(4)zb, horizontal creasing at the top of the second row & at the base of the fourth row, most units are unmounted, Cat $3750++.

1d, 1½d block of 4 and punctured 'OS' 1d & 1½d all unmounted, also 1½d Harrison Imprint block of 8 #90(17)z (minor blemishes), Cat $1150.

OVERPRINTED 'OS': 1d green with the Watermark Reversed ACSC #82(OS)aa (SG O129x), Melbourne cds, Cat $2500 (£900).

Mint collection apparently complete to 1965 with 6d Engraved * (no 1d), Kooka M/S * (a few bends), 5/- Bridge * reasonably well-centred, KGVI 3d Die Ia **, Arms set **, 5/- Cattle white paper **, Navigators set (8) **, 'OS' overprints including KingsfordSmith * (3d creased; no Certificates), condition variable but generally very fine.
PUNCTURED 'OS': 1½d unmounted mint block of 4, Plate 6 upper-right corner block of 8 with Flaw on First 'A' of 'AUSTRALIA' ACSC #132g CTO & unmounted, single with Inverted 'OS' that is unconvincing, & three forgeries including a pair with Perfin/No Perfin 'error'.

PUNCTURED 'OS': 1½d single on envelope with Commonwealth coat-of-arms printed in red on the flap, locally used at Adelaide, a couple of minor tonespots, Cat $600. [Known to have been sent by South Australian Senator Sir Henry Barwell]
STATE GOVERNMENT PUNCTURES: 1½d punctured 'OS/NSW' Upright single and Sideways single and block of 8 (4x2), all unmounted, and another single (small fault) + KGV ½d orange punctured 'OS' tied to Metropolitan Meat Industry Board cover - minor faults - by poor 'HOMEBUSH BAY ABATTOIRS' cds. Very scarce group. [It is disappointing that Geoff Kellow did not cover the State piunctures]

Large shoebox of commercial & philatelic mail with some better frankings including Silver Jubilee set x2 & 5/- Robes on Clipper cover; better postmarks including 'AUST EXHBTN MELBNE N3' on Vic Centenary 1/-, 1954 with 'POSTED EGELABRA SIDING/NO POST OFFICE' & NSW TPO cds, & 1953 'PAID BULK RATE/ROCKHAMPTON'; Military including 1941 to USA with huge '101 GEN HOSP/4TH MD' cachet, 1944 POW Post Card from Murchison Camp to Germany, BCOF set to Thin Paper 5/- with 'AUST ARMY PO/214' cds, Vietnam commercial registered airmail to Adelaide with Olympics 5c & 25c tied by 'AUST FPO/3' cds & superb registration cachet, etc; also noted 1943 registered to Argentina, 1907 Paquebot from Gibraltar apparently taxed in error & 1938 from NZ correctly addressed to "Karumba/NT" with 'POST-TOWN/NOT KNOWN/["Australia"]' handstamp & apologetic letter from the PMG's Department; condition variable.
