1944-53 group noted 1944 KGVI 7d First Issue with admonition on yellow paper x2 one with Brisbane '1' censor cachet, the other with Melbourne '3.' in circle check mark and on stone paper x2 one to India with Melbourne wide white censor label cut in half, the other with Qantas Re-Opening Flight overprint in red (not pilot-signed), Second Issue without admonition x2 one with Sydney yellow censor label, 1945 New Format Qantas overprint in red (not pilot-signed), also 1952-59 Officials 'SPECIMEN' h/s plus used x3 including 1953 with 'spur on AI' flaw and 1960 with 'HIS' & 'AIR LETTER' crossed out & over-typed 'HER' & 'AEROGRAMME', condition generally fine. 1944-65 collection including mint, FDI and commercially used noted 1944 First Issue with admonition on yellow paper endorsed "First Day Cover/11th Sept 1944" but with 'CHATSWOOD/12SE44/NSW' cds and on stone paper x5 including with Sydney white censor label cut in half to South Africa, with Melbourne wide white censor 'half-label' to UK, with Adelaide '4' in circle check mark to "RAF, Ein Shemer, MEF" and with Perth '5' in circle check mark to Southern Rhodesia, Second Issue without admonition x7 including with Brisbane '1' in circle check mark, with Sydney censor label (format as for yellow labels but on buff stock; unusual) and with Melbourne yellow censor label, etc, also Officials 'Postage/Paid' used x2 one with heading in indigo & 'SPECIMEN' h/s x2 plus 'OHMS' Plane used, 'SPECIMEN' overprint & h/s, condition generally very fine. LIBERATED POWs: 1945 (Oct 1) usage of GB formular aerogramme endorsed "Lib UK PW" with the message headed "c/o 3 Australian Repl Co / Manila PI" to England with 'AUST ARMY PO/241' cds. [Ted Proud records APO 241 at Hollandia Feb-June 1945, then in Japan from May 1946; Phil Collas records usage at Morotai from Feb 1945 "until late in that year" & in Japan in 1946. Neither mentions usage in the Philippines]

1968 GB 6d Aerogramme to "Chief Postmaster/Norfolk Islands/..." with significant charring especially on the reverse & corner fault at L/L, with Australian PMG's Department roneo'd letter of 7.5.1968 advising of damage to mail due to the aircraft carrying it having crashed at Heathrow Airport.
