1954 cover from West Germany to Edwardstown (SA) with Posthorn 30pf & 60pf x3, roughly opened at top, the cover pinned to PMG's Department letter explaining "The article was found amongst mail matter that was damaged by some person or persons unknown who entered the Croydon Post Office during the week-end".
1908 Visit of the American Great White Fleet comprising CB& Co x2, South Australia 'Australia Welcomes Americans 1908' and 1d Postal Card used, WP Series 'USS New Jersey' used in SA, Oceanic Post Card Co, hand tinted patriotic, F&J 'New Jersey' and 'Kansas' unused, condition overall very fine.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA: Real Photo group comprising Clare (1936 Centenary procession), Gawler (1914 street scene, the sender marked with an 'X'), Hindmarsh (c.1907 street scene including Post Office, postally used), Keith ('Wylie's/Up-To-Date Store' & Post Office), Mannum (opening of the Institute 'by the Governor of Australia' ?), Valentine's 'Main Street Murray Bridge', Penola (horse-carts outside 'Bruse's Criterion Hotel', message in code), Port Augusta (1907 shipping, postally used with message "What do you think of our Port...they are loading wheat..."), Port Pirie (c.1907, postally used with message "Photo of Guard of Honour Cadets...to receive His Excellency..."), Springton (charabanc outside Springton Hotel), Tumby Bay JH Secombe Undivided Back (street scene with McFarlane Bros store) and Wallaroo (1907 busy wharf scene, postally used to a ship's passenger at Durban, Natal), some minor blemishes but an exceptional group.

Well-filled Seven Seas album with New South Wales including Sydney Views 1d No Clouds apparently unused but it has been professionally repaired & 3d x3 (one with No Whip, & one with BN '78' - rated RR - of Cassilis), Laureates to 8d, 'REGISTERED' Imperf x4, Charity duo, 'OS' Overprints QV 10/- & £1 CTO reprints, Postage Dues set mint or CTO, etc; Queensland including 'Half-penny' on 1d Die II mint, Charity duo mint but a bit soiled, QV Revenues to £5 black, etc; South Australia Imperf 2d apparently a Double Print/Dry Print, 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' plate proof with blank value tablet & 'SPECIMEN' Overprints to £20, Thin 'POSTAGE' set mint or used/CTO, etc; Tasmania including Courier 1d with full margins, Tablets £1 used, 1899-1900 Pictorials mint, etc; Victoria with a couple of very attractive Half-Lengths, 'REGISTERED' 1/- with large margins, Laureates 8d orange & 10d grey, Bell Emergency Printings 1d green/drab, Stamp Statutes to £5 including an apparently mint 3d (no certificate), Large Stamp Duty £1/10/- CTO and 35/- & £6 to £9 all fiscally used, Ultra-High Values £50 (stained) & £100 both CTO, 1886-96 High Values fiscally used, 1900 Charity duo mint, KEVII £2 punctured 'OS' CTO, Postage Dues both sets mint or used, etc; and Western Australia including 1854-55 1d & 4d both with full margins, Hillman 2d with BPA Certificate, later issues to £1, Long Revenues postally used to 1/-, Telegraph duo postally used, etc; condition rather mixed but many including most of those mentioned are fine to very fine. Huge catalogue value, especially if one takes into account the numerous faked imperfs, forged overprints etc, that we have completely ignored in arriving at the estimate.
Postal Stationery selection including scenic Postal Cards from NSW x2, Queensland x2, South Australia x2 & Victoria1½d Fleet Card, also NSW 1d STO Postal Card for Shell Transport & Trading (rare; minor blemishes), NSW 1½d with printed illustration 'Gruss aus der umgekehrten Welt/...' on the reverse, etc, most unused & generally fine to very fine.
Postal Stationery Duplicated predominantly unused array of mostly Postal Cards from NSW including Fleet Card 1d x2 & used 5d OHMS Registration Envelope used x2; Queensland with Postal Cards 1d Chalon x8 & Sideface 1d x4 all unusually clean; Tasmania with 2d green Envelope 'IN DENISON GORGE...' (very fine); and Victoria including 3d red/green x4, 'Beer n Baccy' card, etc, also some Envelopes & Wrappers including a few pairs & sheets of 4 but with some damage; condition variable & quite a bit of light soiling that can be greatly improved with a soft eraser; also a very modest group of Victorian Barred Numerals.

1900 (Feb 7) Boer War cover with straight-line 'SS EURYALUS' ship's cachet & endorsed "2nd Vict Contingent/Wray Chaplain/for Col Price CC", to Sydney with CofGH 1d tied by Cape Town squared-circle, Sydney arrival b/s of MR2/00, opened a bit roughly with small repair at upper-right. Rare.
Collection in expensive Lighthouse binder with CDS including 'PALMERSTON/NT' (superb!), 'SOUTHPORT/NT' on 1876 cover, '[UN]ION REEF/SA', 'YAM CREEK/SA' on 1875 cover, etc, and squared-circles including 'ANTHONY'S LAGOON', 'BROCK'S CREEK' on real photo PPC, 'BURRUNDIE' on cover with 'TOO LATE' h/s, 'POWELL CREEK', 'TR HEAD CAMP', 'TOP CAMP' x2, 'UNION T[OWN]', etc; condition variable. Central Australia Railway Construction Car: 'CEN. AUS. RLY. CONS[TN]/17OC28' cds (no base inscription, Presgrave type 64, PSSA type CM) on KGV 1½d red. Rated RRR. PO 29.9.1927; closed 31.7.1929. Used during construction phase of the Adelaide-Alice Springs Line; replaced by the Quorn-Alice Springs TPO service.
Lake Nash (1): Queensland-pattern double-oval 'ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH OFFICE/[LAKE] NASH' (TO period) on paper wafer across the flap on 1904 Tatts cover with Qld 1d & 2d x3 tied by poor cancels of 'CAMOOWEAL' (cds below), 2-line 'REGISTERED/...' h/s. Rated RRRRR. TO 5.11.1899; PO c. -.8.1915; TO c.1923; closed 31.5.1928. Ex 'Tamiami'. [The only other recorded example on cover, routed via Urandangie, sold at our auction of 7.4.2019 for $431. This cover was hiding in the Queensland albums!]
Southport: 'SOUTHPORT/18/NO25/84/S-A' two strikes on cover to Yorkshire "per Hong Kong" with 'PORT DARWIN NT/SA' transit & part-'LEEDS' arrival b/s, opened-out & portion missing at lower-left. Rated RRRR. PO 1873; closed 30.9.1889. Ex 'Tamiami'. [Gold Mining]
Attractive collection on Scott leaves with London Printings 2d & 6d, Adelaide Printings 1d 6d x3 & 1/-, 1868-79 4d mint pair, 1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' 2/6d to £1 mint - the 15/- is Perf 10 - plus Perf 10 Original Printings set to £20 with 'SPECIMEN' Overprint, Thin 'POSTAGE' mint to £1, Thick 'POSTAGE' mint to £1, Crown/A mint to 5/-, etc, a few problems in the earlies but then generally fine to very fine.
