HOCKEY: Early 20th Century real photo team postcards, one with message indicating it shows an Australian hockey team touring New Zealand in 1911.

1908 Jubilee Carnival real photo postcard of the New Zealand team, endorsed at base 'Australasian Jubilee Carnival/New Zealand Team', showing the players wearing their distinctive uniforms featuring the Silver Fern. [This was the only time that a team from NZ competed; captained by former Collingwood player Tom Wright - who would be killed in action in France in 1916 - NZ proved to be the surprise packet of the tournament, winning 6 out of the 11 matches they played on the tour, including carnival matches against NSW & Queensland]
MILITARY: Group of photographs from an American soldier from the 37th Division in the Pacific campaign, noted New Zealand (31) with scenery & Maoris; Solomon Islands (9), and a few of an unidentified Chinese family. Plus a real photo postcard of natives fishing endorsed Noumea.
1868 Southland Agricultural & Pastoral Association Exhibition, Silver medal (47mm), obv. Plough and Corn stacks in high relief, rev. 'Best Bull/Any Age or Breed/1st Prize/Awarded to/Mr W.B Kingswell' 'J.T.S.' monogram below, cased in original box, 'J.T. SLEEP/LYDIARD ST/BALLARAT' within oval, silver (47mm), light surface scratches, otherwise Uncirculated. Ex Dr Alan Nicholson. [Acquired at a Sydney auction for $2250 in 1997, where it was correctly identified as a New Zealand Item.]

Pre-decimals with KGVI-QEII ½d & 1d loose in bags, 3d collection in Push-In album including 1935 (key date), 6d, 1/- and Florins loose, Half-Crown 1933-1963 complete run including 1940 (Unc) and 1944 (aVF), then Decimals 1c to 50c mixed loose with duplicates, condition mixed. 1918 £10 Bank of New Zealand blue and multicoloured Bradbury Wilkinson printer's proof record note (203 x 133mm) dated Wellington 1st April 1918, (as Pick #229s), obv. serials '070001/090000', circular vignettes showing Maoris at left, Kiwis and rowers in canoe on lake below erupting volcano at right, ink manuscript '073468. 19.3.18' in top margin, punctured 'CANCELLED' (40 x 5mm) rev. violet Coat of Arms and denomination, counterfoil at left, Uncirculated. A sublime note!
