A rare domestic cover between two inland settlements on the South Island. Kawarau (Otago) renamed from Kawarau Junction 1.11.1864; renamed Cromwell 21.10.1873. [Alluvial goldmining. Kawarau also claims to be the world's first commercial bungy jumping centre. Moke Creek is known for gold & copper mining]
