1932 New England Airways Ltd illustrated passenger ticket #1906 dated "28 4 32" & signed "CM Gorman", Queensland KGV 2d revenue pen-cancelled on the same date, a bit worn from having been folded in the passenger's wallet. Nice item.

Balance of collection including 1902 inwards from GB with Melbourne 'REFUSED/ON ACCOUNT/OF TAX' h/s and Victoria 1d & 2d Postage Dues (front only), 1912 NSW Railway Refreshment Rooms & Jenolan Caves Hotel advertising envelope with 'JENOLAN CAVES' cds, PPC used with NSW 1d & Queensland ½d combination franking, KGV frankings including 2d red with 'OS' puncture on SA Education Dept cover & 4½d violet on 1930 flight cover, 1953 with red 'EXPRESS' label, 1963 1/2d Thylacine on Philip Island (Vic) tourist cover, KGV 1d red postal cards noted two with 'PASSED' censor cachets, condition quite variable; then quantity of 1938-66 Kangaroo ½d orange ** in larger blocks noted Double Perf In Left Margin strips of 10 x2, a few Framas, etc, plus SAFE Signoscope and some literature including Rosenblum 'Stamps of the Commonwealth of Australia' (1966). 1913 (Sep 2) commercial cover to Wisconsin with scarce combination cover of Kangaroo ½d + Queensland 2d tied by BN '346' of 'INNISFAIL' (very fine cds alongside), Brisbane transit b/s.
1916 parcel tag endorsed "Gold" to a bank in 'COOKTOWN' (arrival b/s) with rare franking of KGV 4d lemon + Kangaroos Third Wmk 3d, 1/- (faded), 2/- brown (Cat $1500 on cover) & 5/- (unpriced on cover) all tied by 'MAYTOWN/ 30DE16/ QUEENSLAND' cds, red & black/white R label damaged from being affixed across the eyelet, minor blemishes. A rare & remarkable item.

WORLD WAR I: 1915 Young Men's Christian Association, Brisbane illustrated envelope showing Lord Kitchener headed 'WITH THE COMMONWEALTH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE/ON ACTIVE SERVICE' sent unfranked to Western Australia with '7TH INF BDE/27-AU-15/FIELD PO' cds used on Gallipoli Peninsula, censored by commanding officer with his signature on face, a few blemishes.
WORLD WAR II: 1943 airmail Hobart to Queensland Construction Camp censored with red/white label (Little #L6-6b) tied by small circular 'CHECKED/BY/ 6/2 ' cachet in violet - unrecorded by Little - on the face, forwarded to "1 Aust Corps/Recp Camp" then to Papua with 'FIELD POST OFFICE/20JE43/019.' b/s, finally 'RETURN TO SENDER/ON/MILITARY BOARD INSTRUCTIONS' cachet in violet on face, some water-staining & other blemishes. Crash mail?

GREAT BRITAIN: GREAT BRITAIN: 1941 (Nov 18) oversize registered censored cover (365x140mm) endorsed "Return by Air Mail/ Aust-NZ-Canada" with 5d Ram x2, Kangaroos 2/- x2 (one faulty) and Robes 5/- x3 (all faulty) tied by 'WOOLLOONGABBA' (Qld) cds and blue 'R' label, some edge tears, folds & blemishes. [Carried by the California Clipper on the last PanAm FAM-19 flight to carry mail from Auckland before the service was suspended after Pearl Harbor; with contemporary "Documents Go Round the World" newspaper clipping stating the enclosed papers for signature were originally sent from the UK via India - 29 days transit - and returned via Canada - 53 days transit. The rate was 3/11d per ½oz for Clipper to USA, then by US internal airmail, then by sea to England x5 + 3d registration]
ITALY: 1935 cover with KGV 1d, 3d Air & 3d KSmith tied by 'TOWNSVILLE' cds apparently sent via Cloncurry (b/s) & 'DALY WATERS/NA' to connect with the Empire service at Darwin. The rate was 1/9d & the deficiency of 1/2d was detected at Daly Waters where the 'MISSENT TO' h/s was somewhat inappropriately applied, the airmail label scored-through & endorsed "via Perth" to connect with the surface mail, minor opening tears at the top.
QUEENSLAND: Intelligence & Tourist Bureau issues from at least four different series including 1908 Franco-British Exhibition x12 (4 used in GB) with some very scarce views noted, condition variable but generally fine to very fine & mostly unused.
QUEENSLAND: QUEENSLAND: 'National Agricultural Show/Brisbane 1906' featuring the Pisciculture exhibits, several identifiable advertising hoardings, used in 1907.
QUEENSLAND: 1909 real photo multi-view for 'ST GEORGE'S/GARDEN FETE' postally used with message "This is the church I go to...", minor blemishes.
QUEENSLAND: 1915-26 Department of Public Education 'A COUNTRY SCHOOL SWIMMING POOL' (1915, 'PAID/BRISBANE' cds), 'COUNTRY SCHOOL GARDEN' (1922, 1½d brown 'OS') & 'A SUBURBAN SCHOOL' (1926, 1d green 'OS'), minor blemishes/faults. Rare.
QUEENSLAND: 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition (San Francisco) 'semi-official' issues with green frames 'Barron Gorge, Cairns Railway' (used under cover), 'Brisbane from the Observatory...', 'Examining Tobacco leaf...' 'Executive Bldgs...', 'Sandgate...', 'View overlooking Woombye...' & 'Whitsunday Passage', and coloured 'Roma Grapes, WQ', some soiling & minor blemishes, unused.
