1860 Large Star Imperf 1d carmine-rose SG 1, an enormous example with full outer framelines & a large chunk of the adjoining unit at right, minor ink-marks on the back transferred from the envelope, indistinct cancel, Cat £800.
1860 Large Star Imperf 1d carmine-rose SG 1 two singles with full margins and almost full outer framelines tied to small piece by Rays '201' of Toowoomba, 'TAROOM/JY17/1861/QUEENSLAND' arrival b/s, the stamps affected at the base by a light ironed-out horizontal filing fold, Cat £1600.

1855 London Printings 1d dark green SG 1, large even margins with a fragment of the adjoining unit at left, neat '1' cancel of Port Adelaide, Cat £500. Superb! BPA Certificate (1989).
1855 London Printings 2d posthumous uncleared die proof of the defaced die in black on wove paper (67x81mm). A beautiful proof & exceptional exhibit item. [This die was rejected because of the "Knitting Needle" flaw through the Queen's Eye. Several impressions were "pulled" in 1931. Harry Lower's & Michael Blake's similar proofs sold for $3220 & $3335 respectively]
1853 Couriers Thin Hard White Paper 1d pale blue SG 3 an intermediate impression, margins good to large with complete outer framelines, BN '68' of Hobart, Cat £1300.
OVERPRINTED 'Reprint': 1850 Half-Lengths 1d, 2d from the Defaced Plate (one unit mounted), & 3d perforated U/L corner blocks of 4, full unmounted o.g. Rare & superb multiples. Sold in 2011 for $632.

1913 Double Eagle Handstamp on Turkey selection including blocks of 4, Misplaced/Inverted Handstamps & six values on an unaddressed cover-front, STC €110,000++ (2005). If only a couple are genuine, the estimate will become irrelevant.
GAMBIA: 1869 No Wmk Cameos 4d pale brown & 6d deep blue SG 2 & 3 both marginal examples with margins good to huge, large-part o.g., Cat £1050. Superb!
SOUTH AFRICA - PROVINCES: Cape of Good Hope: Illustrated page of Triangles annotated in German with examples of Dies 'A' & 'B' for the 1d (both on blued paper), 4d, 6d pale rose-lilac (almost full margins) & 6d slate-lilac, and 1/- deep dark green, full margins & very fine, Cat £2600 minimum. Bargain estimate!

SOUTH AFRICA: 1910 Opening of Union Parliament 2½d deep blue SG 1 complete sheet of 120 (12x10), some minor perf-crimping, the right-hand half of the sheet with 'BENONI/4NOV10/TRANSVAAL' cds being the First Day of Issue, full unmounted o.g., Cat £330++. [The lot also includes 1947 Royal Visit 1d & 3d complete sheets]
SOUTH WEST AFRICA: 1923 14mm Spacing Between Lines of the Overprint ½d green (hinge remainder) & 1d red (unmounted) setenant pairs as SG 1 and 2 but both with the Overprint Grossly Misplaced with 'Africa. - Afrika.' at the Top. Rare: STC R14,500 (mounted) in 2009. [With all the flyspeck varieties now listed by Gibbons, we must ask why these major errors remain consigned to a mere mention in a footnote??]
TOGO: Anglo-French Occupation selection with 3mm Spacing on 3pf SG H1 corner strip of 3 (**), 2mm Spacing 30pf block of 4 (**), Accra Overprints on Gold Coast 5/- & 10/- etc, Cat £630++.
