1945 QANTAS Australia-England re-opening of service 1945 KGVI 7d 'AIR LETTER' overprinted '.../ LANCASTRIAN MAIL PLANE/SERVICE/AUSTRALIA-ENGLAND/...' in red (AAMC #1007b) carried on the first Lancastrian service, 1946 KGVI 7d 'AIRLETTER' overprinted '.../RE-OPENING/AUSTRALIA-ENGLAND/EMPIRE AIR ROUTE/...' in violet carried by Liberator to Singapore (#1036a) & same overprinted in red carried on first Kangaroo Route service to England (#1038a), plus Great Britain KGVI 6d aerogramme carried on return flight from London (#1039b), all four signed by pilots, fine condition, Cat $875.
1945-54 Flights accumulation noted 1945 first civilian service to Singapore by Flying Boat 'Coriolanus' (AAMC #1009) and Ceylon-Sydney by Liberator (#1017), 1946 KGVI 7d 'AIRLETTER' overprinted '.../RE-OPENING/ AUSTRALIA-ENGLAND/EMPIRE AIR ROUTE/...' in violet to Singapore (#1036a), Great Britain KGVI 6d aerogramme for Kangaroo Route opening (#1039b), 1947 Norfolk Island-Sydney and Japan pair including 'BCOF' overprint, 1949 Hong Kong pair one with combination franking, 1952 South Africa & 1954 North America flights including intermediates, many with QANTAS labels & pilot-signed, also 1951 Lae-Tarawa-Lae (#P198), 1952 BOAC Comet flights with intermediates & 1953 TEAL Tonga flights, some duplication and a couple with minor blemishes but overall fine condition, Cat $4000+.
EPHEMERA: 1930s-60s airmail labels, baggage tags, instructional stickers and other 'cinderellas' for Ansett Airways, ANA, Airlines of Australia, Adelaide Airways & Butler Air Transport, colourful assembly with very little duplication, generally fine condition.
EPHEMERA: 1940s-80s QANTAS, ANA and Ansett flight & fare schedules, time tables, maps, tickets, baggage slips, even a frequent flyer card, also a few picture postcards depicting aircraft plus QANTAS 1941 21st Anniversary label & 1947 Japan label on flight covers, fine condition.
