Inwards British Commonwealth airmail covers with earlies flown and forwarded by surface mail noted Basutoland 1936 registered with 'MAFETENG' cachet and 'DARWIN' b/s, Ceylon 1931 to New Zealand endorsed airmail "Perth-Adelaide/Melbourne-Sydney" with combination franking, Cook Islands 1934 paying internal airmail with Pictorials d x8, 1d & 2d, Great Britain 1935 'City of Khartoum' crash cover with explanatory note, Kenya 1933 Kisumu Hotel cover to Hudson Fysh, QANTAS with KGV 2/- and 'BY AIR MAIL TO/PAR AVION A' cachet endorsed "Cairo Singapore", Newfoundland 1931 with 'TOORAWEENAH/NSW' cds in red re-directed to the Phillipines, Zanzibar 1935 with 'BY AIR TO KARACHI' cachet, others from Barbados, Jamaica, Nigeria, Northern Rhodesia, St Kitts, Swaziland and more, a few with minor blemishes but condition generally fine. 1942 (June 12) cover to a Lesotho woman in Basutoland (!) with Australia 1d & 9d tied by 'AUS FPO 34' cds in use at Tripoli (Lebanon) & FPO No 34 registration cachet in violet, 'LERIBE' transit & 'PITSENG' arrival b/s. An extraordinary origin/destination cover. The sender was presumably a Basuto native, probably serving with South African Forces.
