CIGARETTE & TRADE CARDS: Goodwin & Co. 'Champions' rare "A36" album containing full set of N162 Old Judge & Gypsy Queen 'Champions' {50}. This beautiful set includes baseball players (8), the first US football player, boxing (5), tennis (4), jockeys (4), billiards (5) and Buffalo Bill Cody. Fair/Fine condition. {In 1887 Goodwin & Co. were among the first to issue trading cards to promote their brands. Their Old Judge 1887-90 (N172) was the first major set of baseball cards, comprising over 2000 images and using albumen photoprints. Goodwin Champions was the first Goodwin set to use coloured chromolithography}. A very beautiful and popular set.
