Covers accumulation mostly FDCs & PSEs, souvenir covers, Maxi-Cards & commemorative postmarks, but also some commercially used stationery & commercial mail, a few PPCs, majority post-WWII but a few KGV frankings, mail to Australia, thematic interest for Scouts, Olympics, Exhibitions & more, noted a few 'Cinderellas' tied on cover, KGVI Challis FDCs, etc, condition mixed but generally fine. Weighs 66kgs.
CINDERELLAS: Collection including Tourism noted 5/- 'Save to Travel', Poster Stamps for NSW Railways, 1934-35 Melbourne Centenary & 1938 Sesqui-Centenary in larger blocks, Advertising noted 'PAMABA' Soap with Kookaburra & Kangaroos, Charities & Hospitals including 'Food For Babies' etc, War Savings, Health/Anti-TB, Olympics, Freight, etc, also Flights including Balloons & Philatelic Exhibitions with some used on cover and other souvenirs, a few overseas as well, condition generally fine. Substantial quantity & excellent range. Weighs 9kg.
CINDERELLAS: 1934 Victoria & Melbourne Centenary labels in blocks of 20 x3 comprising two different configurations of designs, and blocks of 8 x5 with two configurations, unmounted. Superb!

Opportunity beckons in this box including a very fine Harry Butler PPC with 'MINLATON' d/s, 1940 from Dutch Indies with 'RECOVERED FROM/LOST FLYING BOAT' cachet, 1946 & 1949 Mornington Island parachute mails, 1949 wrapper to GB with 'FIRST FLIGHT/Second Class Air Mail' vignette, 1951 Australia-Chile multi-franked covers x2, 1930s array including with signatures of pilots "H Purvis", "F Neale", "N Brearley", "J Chapman", "O Denny", "Harold O Cook", "HF Broadbent", etc, some with better frankings, etc, generally fine to very fine.
1945-53 Re-Opening of Services with covers to & from New Guinea (1945, and 1947 intermediate from Port Moresby), Fiji, Ceylon, Norfolk Island, GB per Constellation, Japan & Hong Kong, plus 1945 developmental flight to Singapore and new services to & from Canada, South Africa, Dutch Indies and Christchurch, also a few intermediates, almost all with appropriate cachets &/or Qantas vignettes - plus four loose vignettes - & many are pilot-signed. 1915 (Nov 7) cover with red/white perforated 'On Active Service/NO STAMPS/AVAILABLE' label cancelled with 1st Light Horse cds & tied by Geelong arrival, British-pattern No 2240 censor cachet in violet, redirected with scarce 'CARLSRUHE RLY STN' arrival b/s, non-contemporary endorsement on flap "written from Chalak Dere Gallipoli.../Norman Belcher". The label has not previously been seen by us & is believed to be unique! [Lieut Edward Norman Belcher returned to Australia in mid-1916]
NEW SOUTH WALES - Postal History
1888 local usage of Walter Akhurst & Co Printing Works illustrated advertising cover with the firm's details on a 'blackboard' & Centennial 1d affixed alongside what appears to be an advertising label for the firm but which is actually printed on the envelope, Sydney duplex cancel, part of the flap removed otherwise superb! A rare item that, in our opinion, is one of the most outstanding of all Australian advertising covers.
LOCAL STAMPS: c.1966 Hayles' Magnetic Island 5c blue-green complete booklet of 48 (four sheets of 12) & 20c complete booklet of 40 (five sheets of 8). The only such booklets seen by us.

SEMI-OFFICIALS: 1912 Margaret Festival Leipzig-Lindenthal 50pf airmail stamp in light blue & ultramarine shades Mi 4a & 4b, unmounted, Cat €430.
WORLD WAR II OCCUPATIONS: France 1942 Exposition Internationale le Bolchevisme Contre l'Europe flimsy propaganda card with 'KOLKHOZE' caricature and French 10c Mercury tied 'BOLCHEVISME CONTRE EUROPE/2-6/42/PARIS' exhibition cds (minor toning), plus Legion Against Bolshevism fundraising set Mi VI-X unmounted with Roland Pieles Certificate (2016).
