AUSTRALIAN COLONIES - General
Pre-WWI financial instruments virtually all from Tasmanian firms including illustrated types & others with elaborate engraved features, with a good variety of revenues including embossed Platypus types, mostly negotiated in Victoria with further revenues including embossed types, several with "collection" slips affixed, condition variable but generally fine to very fine. A very attractive & desirable collection.

1897 Coin (Re-Issue) 5/- Perf 11 SG 297c x12 including a block of 4 (minor gum-crazing), Compound Perf SG 297e Perf 11x12 x12 including a very fine block of 4 & a marginal single with Floral Border, and Perf 12x11 x8 including [26, Cracked Plate], generally fine to very fine with large-part o.g., Cat £1600+. Ex Guy Hutson.
REVENUES: Packet of documents with Revenues including Lilacs to 3/- & 5/-, Lithos to 10/- & a couple of others, very mixed condition; also betting ticket (?) with printed '[crown]/WA/PAID/STAMP DUTY'.

Collection in two expensive KaBe hingeless albums with 1948 First Coins Doar Ivri set, 1949 Tabul M/S, 1949 Petah Tiqwa & New Year set (35pr with light crease), 1950 Elat Post Office, 1952 1000pr Menorah, then virtually complete 1953-85, all with Long Tabs, unmounted throughout & many are pristine. High catalogue value.
1948 First Coins (Doar Ivri) 50m Perf 10x11 Bale #6 Plate Number '1' block of 4 from Group 139, well centred, unmounted, Cat $US700. Superb!
