1941 (Oct 16) plain postcard to China endorsed "By airmail" with QM 1d green & 4d Koala tied by 'AIR MAIL SECTION/ 1 /MELBOURNE VIC' cds, sender's endorsement at upper-right "Fritz Guttenberg 39668/No 2 Tatura Interment camp..." at upper-left, diamond '3 /PASSED/BY/CENSOR/209' cachet in violet, some creases. A very scarce wartime postcard rate. [The sender was a "Dunera Boy", interned at Hay (NSW) then at Tatura. After his release in 1942, he joined the Australian Army] ** This cover is dated 1941 not 1942 as stated in the catalogue description **
