Well-filled Seven Seas album with New South Wales including Sydney Views 1d No Clouds apparently unused but it has been professionally repaired & 3d x3 (one with No Whip, & one with BN '78' - rated RR - of Cassilis), Laureates to 8d, 'REGISTERED' Imperf x4, Charity duo, 'OS' Overprints QV 10/- & £1 CTO reprints, Postage Dues set mint or CTO, etc; Queensland including 'Half-penny' on 1d Die II mint, Charity duo mint but a bit soiled, QV Revenues to £5 black, etc; South Australia Imperf 2d apparently a Double Print/Dry Print, 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' plate proof with blank value tablet & 'SPECIMEN' Overprints to £20, Thin 'POSTAGE' set mint or used/CTO, etc; Tasmania including Courier 1d with full margins, Tablets £1 used, 1899-1900 Pictorials mint, etc; Victoria with a couple of very attractive Half-Lengths, 'REGISTERED' 1/- with large margins, Laureates 8d orange & 10d grey, Bell Emergency Printings 1d green/drab, Stamp Statutes to £5 including an apparently mint 3d (no certificate), Large Stamp Duty £1/10/- CTO and 35/- & £6 to £9 all fiscally used, Ultra-High Values £50 (stained) & £100 both CTO, 1886-96 High Values fiscally used, 1900 Charity duo mint, KEVII £2 punctured 'OS' CTO, Postage Dues both sets mint or used, etc; and Western Australia including 1854-55 1d & 4d both with full margins, Hillman 2d with BPA Certificate, later issues to £1, Long Revenues postally used to 1/-, Telegraph duo postally used, etc; condition rather mixed but many including most of those mentioned are fine to very fine. Huge catalogue value, especially if one takes into account the numerous faked imperfs, forged overprints etc, that we have completely ignored in arriving at the estimate.
FORGERIES: Album of mostly foreign forgeries but including some Australian Colonies with a nice selection from Victoria, British Guiana, BWI and Canadian Provinces, condition variable, inspection will be rewarded.

PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Germany 1944 Goering Behind Bars 54+96pf violet x4 in imperforate M/S with decorative border, unmounted.
PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Germany 1944 Hitler 12pf brown-red Postal Forgery Mi 16 tied to piece by forged 'WIEN 40/20.2.45' cds, plus an unmounted but poorly centred example, Cat €355. Both with Roland Pieles BPP Certificates (2018/19). Produced by the American Office of Strategic Services and printed in Rome, these were affixed to propaganda letters dropped over Austria & Bavaria by US Forces.
PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Germany 1944 24+26pf 'Und Ihr Habt Doch Gesiegt' forgery with portrait of Field Marshal Erwin von Witzleben titled 'GEHANGT AM 8.AUG.1944' Mi 29, some gum discolouration, unmounted; plus an example of the stamp on which it was based for comparison, Cat €800. The original inscription 'And Yet You Have Won' - ironically retained on the forgery - refers to the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch. von Witzleben was a key player in the Operation Valkyrie failed assassination attempt on Hitler's life on 20.7.1944. He was executed by hanging on 8.8.1944.
PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Germany 1944 Beer Hall Putsch 12+12pf forgery with inscription altered to '30 JANUAR 1933' - the day Hitler was sworn in as German Chancellor - and central design showing Heinrich Himmler fitting leg-irons to a hand-cuffed civilian Mi 32A, perforated complete sheetlet of 20 (4x5) with margins, a few very minor tone spots, unfolded & unmounted, Cat €16,000. PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Germany 1944 Hitler Definitives forgeries comprising 3pf on yellow paper and 4pf 6pf & 8pf on white paper Mi 23-26 all marginal examples from the top of the sheets, unmounted with 'Hans Zierer' expertising marks on back, Cat €380. Roland Pieles BPP Certificate (2018). Produced on the orders of SS-Commander Heinrich Himmler by inmates of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.
PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Great Britain 1944 KGVI ½d to 3d forgeries with 'LIQUIDATION/OF EMPIRE/BERMUDA-IS' overprints Mi 9IVg-14IVg, each with corner sheet margin and 'LONDON/6JU/44/SPECIAL STAMP' forged cancels in violet, Cat €800. Roland Pieles BPP Certificate (2018). Produced on the orders of SS-Commander Heinrich Himmler by inmates of the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp for distribution by foreign agents.
PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Italy 1944 Italian-German Alliance 50c green forgery with 'POSTE ITALIANE' inscription replaced by German 'Zwei Volker/Ein Krieg' [= Two Peoples/One War] Mi 50, unmounted, Cat €1300. Roland Pieles BPP Certificate (2018) which states that the paper inclusions are standard for this issue and do not detract. [Produced by Great Britain]
PROPAGANDA FORGERIES: Netherlands 1941 Queen Wilhemina 5c genuine stamp with 'HOUDT/GOUDEN/MOED' [= "Have Good Courage"] propaganda overprint Mi 1 tied to piece by 'SCHIEDAM/30 XII 41' cancel, unpriced by Michel. Roland Pieles BPP Certificate (2018). Produced by Pieter Jacob van den Ban, a Schiedam stamp dealer and member of the Dutch Underground, purposefully in light shades to lessen the likelihood of detection. Only 90 stamps were overprinted, of which about ten copies on cover or piece are known.
