Simpson and his donkey carrying wounded soldier, Crown above, 'ANZAC' below, rev. map of Australia and NZ superimposed with Southern Cross, NZ ferns below, engraved 'W. FLETCHER', no case, EF. Awarded to surviving members (or next of kin) of the Australian Forces who served on the Gallipoli Peninsula between April 1915 and January 1916.
