POSTCARD CENSORSHIP: 1950s Constance and Bamforth cards by Donald McGill and "Taylor" respectively both with large 'ISLE OF MAN/Postcard Censorship Act 1933/Disapproved for Sale/...' handstamp on the reverse; also 1939 Dudley Buxton original artwork on artboard (170x228mm), the printed Inter-Art Comique card with printer's notations & WB edition with similar notations, similar handstamp in rosine on the reverse & large 'R'-in-circle for "Rejected" on the face; the last stained on the reverse otherwise superb. Ex Dennis Gardiner. [Isn't it amazing to compare with what the boundary-pushers get away with these days?!] (Qty 5 items)
