1977 Performing Arts 20c Violinists horizontal strip of 10 from the right-hand pane with selvedge at left & right. Unit 1 is normal; Unit 2 has Dark Grey Printing (violin strings & the rear chair) Partly Omitted; Units 3 to 10 have Dark Grey Printing (violin strings and both chairs) Completely Omitted; unmounted. Unrecorded in the ACSC. [Several years ago, a complete pane of 50 comprising 5 such strips was found in a safety deposit box where it had lain undisturbed for many years. Coincidentally, there are five beneficiaries to the estate and the pane has therefore been divided between them. Two of the strips sold for $13,800 & $18,400 (with the colour bars) at the Prestige auctions of 18.11.2006 & 12.5.2007]

AUSTRALIA: 1966 Definitives 15c Galah complete vertical strip of 5 from the right of the sheet with the Carmine Printing (Bird's Chest & Highlights) Completely Omitted from the Third Unit & 50% Omitted from the Second & Fourth Units, Cat $10,000 (SG 7500 for just the Third Unit). This is the first time in almost 40 years that we have offered this error, one of the most dramatic of all Australian "Missing Colours". [The ACSC states that one pane of 50 was affected, meaning that only 10 such strips - some of which have been split - could exist]

AUSTRALIA: 1966 Definitives 15c Galah vertical strip of 5 from the right of the sheet with Grey Printing (Branches & Highlights) Completely Omitted from the central unit SG 393b (Cat 4000), Partly Omitted from the base of the second unit & Largely Omitted from the fourth unit ACSC #455cb, unmounted, Cat $5000 (2002). Possibly unique! [The ACSC records two variants of this error 1) with Grey Printing also Partly Omitted from the first & fifth units; and 2) as here. However, it is stated that this error was known only from a block of 10 (2x5) that was stupidly reduced to a block of 4 of the 3rd & 4th rows and then to two pairs. The implication is that the strip offered here is the only surviving example of the "full" error. Tom Pierron also states that "just two mint copies, both in vertical pairs with partials, survive"]
